I was just handling some barrels from Mr.S yesterday afternoon.
So many interesting projects for the coming months!

So close I'll work towards sight regulation before I cut the front sight dovetail Those grip stocks are supplied by the client. They need a bit of shaping before they are done. I'll be using the factory grip panels while I shoot it

That is a work of art.... Thanks! I'm a super lucky guy to have that piece of work on my bench.

How do you determine sight height with no sights on it?

There's a rear sight.
Next shot will have a temporary sight blade (actually) taped to the front sight ramp.
That will quickly get me to a front sight height.

Thanks I like it Cool little wheelgun, really handy. Without the shop and the clients, I wouldn't get the chance to handle and shoot so many of these neat custom revolvers.

Groo here Wish we had a round that was 38spec length or shorter but 475 or bigger around. Max speed with a boolet of .175 sd at about 1000fps from a 4ish barrel.[aka "Bulldog" round] I could down load stuff but match the round up with a shorter frame and you would have an easy carry/shooting load. After all , even target loads from a 475 + round will drop thin skinned game easy.....

That's 475 Lite also known as 475 Special We do that one often enough for folks, sometimes on the S&W double action revolvers too. Same trim length as 44 Special. Cool round.

There are several choices, 50GI as well as the 500 Special (starline brass) could be trimmed and would get you exactly what you are looking for. I shoot alot of the 50GI and with 300-400gr bullets is great. Mild recoil, accurate and easy to load for. I have been wanting to get a DA revolver built in 50GI, but have been holding off until I see how the JRH 475 Special turns out (because it could be done on an N frame Smith). I guess I should contact JRH and see.... Although flyingzebra's 3.5" 480 has me interested ALOT...
