Yeah, that would put both my Alaskan and 4 5/8" BSBH 480's outta work. Wanna trade ?

I like that checkered ejector button, sort of frosting on the cake.

Very Nice adaptation of the front sight ramp into a barrel rib, also nice “button” base pin. I’ve done that same type configuration to a factory one on my 3.75” 45 colt.

Thanks guys That base pin has a pretty much flush-fitting nailhead feature. I gave it a bit of a recess, for a thumbnail etc to get it out, also it's got a bit of a fine knurl on the rim.

I put some contour on the rib. Blends nicely with the existing features of the frame.

Got the rib and band and barrel joined with silver this afternoon and left the assembly for tomorrow or next week.
Lots of finishing work to do, fastening of the ejector rod housing, and assemby. Then I cut the front sight dovetail, install sights (rear to be Bowen) and regulate with a service load.
