We'll see about bullet speed. I doubt I'll be leaving much on the table because of barrel length.
I have Cast Performance 375gr gas check bullets to work with for regulation. Considering the client, I'll assemble top end loads and set the sights for something relative to that kind of recoil.
Should be a sweet shooting gun.

Jury is out for me still on the long sight rib until I see a profile of the whole revolver.
It may balance the whole package nicely.

Bushy, I’ve never been much for the barrel band thing, but the rib makes that feature seem like it belongs. I’d personally like the shoot that gun and see what it’s capable of, I know my 4” JRH shoots way better than I’d ever have expected it to.

Any thought given to making the rib even height with the top strap??? Trapr That top strap isn't squared at the front edge. Material would need to have been added to the frame in order to get a continuous flat top effect. We've done this before, and the look ends up being different. Although this image shows a gun with an octagonal barrel, you can see the flat top effect, which took a bit of additive process to get the transition to look right. I called this one "High and Tight"

Looks slick! That ERH should be secure too with that front abutment so to speak. Proper mounting screw and it shouldn’t go anywhere. Nice work! Just a side note- if you guys need a taller rear sight than a Bowen, the BFR sight is one.

I just had an ovate barrel added to on old model 357 to 44 Special conversion and Hamilton had to do some “micro welding” as he called it to the front of the main frame to make the new transition look right. Unfortunately that remedial work got into the logo John put on the top strap so it is now back at Jasper where Isaac will apply a new logo and reblue the gun.

I like both of those projects. And I’m afraid to fit a grip frame. Haha

"High and tight" looks good.
I'm interested in the "Winchester" engraved on the cylinder. What's up with that?
