Ronnie, Thanks for taking my call and being so generous with your time answering questions the other day, I appreciate it! I am very excited about what you are doing and I eagerly await the advent of stainless steel grip frames as well! I’d be down for 3 if pre-orders were ever offered. I was thinking about how many options you offer and had a thought (forgive me if this has been discussed already, if it has I missed it). Do you have a 3D printer? It would be neat for folks to be able to order a plastic mock up of a paneled grip frame with “trigger” of choice (maybe hammer too) that they could feel for personal fit. Would allow checking with gloves and for reach to trigger etc etc. if it made sense you could offer a small discount on grip frame order if the mock ups were returned in good shape so you could “sell” them to the next folks looking and save time and materials making them. Or people could swap them around on the forum here as well. In any case if properly executed it may be a great way for people to see what exactly fits their hand and fingers best. Some people might be pleasantly surprised at which model might offer the magic fit! Keep up the great work! Howdy I am very familiar with (RPT) Rapid prototyping. I was involved in a massive project for the Navy years ago. But i didnt see the rapid part of it being very accurate. Hahaha. It is just a build up of materials rather than stock removal. However it would be more programming and i Know for a fact that overlaying grip frame configurations and slingin lead is a much better tool for decision making. The cost and time involved versus the benefit is just not their. You have a massive amount of experience on this forum. Great advise from multiple directions. Great idea though and we have discussed it many times but i would be money and time ahead to just make up a batch of aluminum grip frames that you could bolt on and actually feel the real time weight and balance. Plastic will not mimic weight and balance and never would it be possible to make the panel shape right that you yourself would define as you fit it to make it all your own. Hope t5hat make sense. Hahaha. Most of us cant leave anything alone until its JUST RIGHT. I am so very Guilty of that. Probably why i keep dreaming up all the dam shapes huh? LOL. Personally i believe we can settle apprehension's with overlays compared to what turns you on Aesthetically and what you have had experience with, sprinkled with a bit of math combined with your hand shape and size and give you a great starting point. So far it has proved to work well. As many on here have stated, Hot Lead slingin will tell all. R And speakin of the Cant leave anything alone syndrome. Next post!

So here we go. Still Movin in more equipment. And trying to improve our capability's. Big Shout Out to Captain FermDawg for all the help he has provided. He has driven down here countless times to throw his hands in and let me tell you what. He dont have a problem getting down right dirty with you. Work does not scare that man one bit and he is really good at everything he does. Thanx a million Fermin! Hammers and triggers have been eating up as much time as equipment moving . Long story. I have finally got back on one of the many of backlogged projects sitting on my many stacked benches and actually completed it. For those that i have been in touch with about this here is a whistle wetter for you. I am fitting a couple of frames for a real Gentleman at this time and i wanted to show it off. This one has a dual purpose for those of you who know the Level of Debauchery im up to here. The Lightning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a booger Bear to bug out but we goterdun. Had to really melt my calculator down on this one but it works and feels great. Another couple of Gentlemen here loaned me a Original colt lightning frame and an after market to play with. I love the trigger guard on the original and didnt feel the single action version of this frame design would be complete with the black hawk trigger guard. So to mimic it properly we use a Bisley trigger so that it is positioned correctly and fills the oddly but very cool trigger guard shape. And of course it wouldnt do any good to have the frame available until i had the Panel Jig working. So here it is. Not completely finished out to perfection but close enough to get an idea if you like it or not.

I personally am not a fan of the lightning grip frame, but it sure looks better on that Ruger than the Colts I’ve seen. Very cool, Ronnie.

Wow, them’s certainly unexpected nice words Big Dog Boss Hog but I decided along time ago to be part of the solution not part of the problem. And I really appreciate the part where you left off the shooing me off with your stun gun and that callous you are developing on your palm from whacking the back of my hard head….
Still, if we have any more fun the dream police are going to come get us. But guys, seriously, look at the line on the grip panel on the lightning that describes a tapered radius from the heel to the toe. I’m pretty sure that’s space man math right there. I’m also pretty sure I didn’t dream seeing it either…

I could see that on a Single Six in .327 Federal being about perfect.

I don't particularly care for the looks of the Lightning frames, though I've never shot one. I do however, really dig that trigger guard. That shape, with the way that "swoop" follows the radius of the Bisley trigger, seems somehow more elegant to me.

This is the same grip Frame on the 6 and a half inch that it was actually fit for. This is its new home. I also Fitted a PJ Youth to it as well. Pics to follow soon. I was just waiting on the Front site that i wanted to use. Shes ready to shoot! Just thought i would put the barrel length issue that might arise to sleep. I like it. What are your thoughts fellas?

Looks okay, but my personal preference would be a short barrel. Probably a 4".
