Just finished up with the thread. Been reading and enjoying pics for 3 days now. I’d still own an Old Model Vaquero 45 LC if I’d known about this option a couple years back. I could just never bring myself to like that wretched grip. Now that I’ve made it through the entire thread I have a few questions for those who shoot them as well as the incredibly talented designer. Of these GFs below, which might handle recoil the best? - Potato Judge +4 - Lee Martin XRH - Bearskinner Any chance I could see those GFs compared with Ruger’s standard Bisle?

As to which will handle recoil the best, only you can work that out. Everyone is different. To me the Biznana and Hager BB5 are the best, but that's why I pestered Ronnie into making them in the first place. Others really like the Dealer or PJ. I also have no problem shooting Ruger only 45C with a factory hunter gripframe with custom grips.

As BB5 stated, the Grip frames are all very similar and all a little different. The 4 degree frames substantially handle recoil better than any stock configuration. Many people more knowledgeable than me have come up with great ideas. I shoot one handed a lot, I also use “cup n saucer” hold on moving critters, when shooting off hand. I like the set up as a walking around gun, for serious work, which is why the radiused edges and angles are as they are. The small nuances I wanted in a grip frame are designed into the perfect “Feel” for me. That Bearskinner Bisley Gripframe melts in my hand like butter on a hot biscuit. It fits perfectly. When you pickup a RW Frame, and Feel how well it naturally settles in your hand, you will instantly know which one is for you.

I like the Well’s #9, K-Bird, and the Dealer. All are awesome, I have the Super Blackhawk brass grip frame (on my Super Blackhawk) minus the dragoon spur on the trigger guard and it is very comfortable for 240-250 grain loads around 1350-1400 fps which is more than adequate for it’s intended purpose. My Blackhawk Bisley .45 Colt with the Well’s #9 handle’s very well with 325 grainers around 1300 fps. YMMV

Quick question: Is the Bo Ty Express grip exclusive to Tyler Gun Works, or can anyone order one from RW Gripframes?

Why not call RW and ask the man himself? You may need to alter that to suit your needs. RW is very conforming to individual needs.

Ronnie has been very busy lately and I have called him plenty, and I just figured that he would probably check this in his spare time without me bothering him when he’s busy

Quick question: Is the Bo Ty Express grip exclusive to Tyler Gun Works, or can anyone order one from RW Gripframes? Bobby dont care. Ill Make you one. We just made that one up to do something cool and different. But like a lot of experiments between me and Bobby and Fermin and guys like Dust Hooley, they just turn out really neat most of the time. We all dig the BO TY Express. It just fits a blank spot really well. Great idea Bobby had there. Kind of a keith 5 with a smidge of potato judge and ruger bisley in it. Kind of a quadruple breed huh? LOL. And it is .440 wide instead of .500. Little thinner but i can make it .5 wide as well. R PS: A dragoon version would bit the shiznick wouldnt it?

I looked on the RDW website and was not sure which grip frames have the 4 degree angle on them. Question: I understand listing each part price and treating it as an individual purchase. But if I want a grip frame and hammer and trigger do you make a package deal?

Thanks for the hammer Ronnie! It looks great and it makes it a lot easier to cock.
