A Ronnie Wells line of BFR gripframes is a big step forward for those guns. Nearly all BFR's are upper deck on recoil. Their early backstraps were lacking. The banana version works but looks awful (at least in.my eyes). Ronnie, with over 200 configurations solves that. Ronnie - I have a .450 Marlin BFR that'll get our Martin XR-H once you start cutting stainless. And I really like the rear hump curvature. -Lee www.singleactions.com "Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

Anyone know if there were more drawings of the dimensions and angles of grip frames as on page 10 of the thread? That was a Bisley and super on that page.
And finally which are the frames that incorporate the 4 degree feature with large trigger opening and more nuckle room for large hands? I think there might be several ? Thanks

Thanks Messy Bear overlays are all over the place on this thread buddy. That drawing was to demonstrate the variation of a bisley backstrap versus a Conventional plow handle. However let me know what you want to compare. The four degree forward series are as follows in Bisley configuration. 4 Degree forward, a standard bisley tilted forward at the top and back at the bottom. Bearskinner with very rounded lower front and back, with a larger trigger guard. The Bison Hunter longer bottom with the floor lowered an 1/8th at the rear. Larger trigger guard. The Bradshaw finger groove standard and large, standard trigger guard! There are 2 2 degree forward. The Kaytod which is designed for smaller hands and the Linebaugh 2.1 which is a 2 degree forward with an additional .100 thousands grip placement stretched toward the rear and sharp corners at the bottom as john suggested. The Bradshaw is a standard angle but moved 3/16 toward the rear for larger hands. Hope that helps R

Thanks Ronnie! The drawings I was referring to have dimensions and angles rather than just an overlay. I assume the f point is firing pin?
I also assume that they are set up with front of grip frame mating surface at perpendicular?
Interested in that center of grip angle as it compares to the barrel

I'm still waiting for the old model super hammer and triggers. Hopefully they will come soon. You can put my third hand tool I ordered and my bfr grips in the box when you send them.

the new Merwin Hulbert Bisley. O Yeah !!!!!! Lanyard Ring ,,,,,". ***** My immediate impression, as well. Hole located just a bit lower and large enough to accommodate parachute cord, eliminate swivel. All this has me wondering where Ronnie finds time to sleep. David Bradshaw

The whole reason I became a member of this site over a year ago was, after seeing Ronnie Wells grip frames, to ask him if he ever considered doing a Merwin and Hulbert style frame for Rugers. Imagine my surprise when he messaged me back a day or two later with designs, specifications, etc that he had mocked up WAY before the thought had even crossed my mind.
Glad to see em rolling out and very glad I joined the site.
