Im wondering why that “tail” is shaped that way. Care to tell us Ronnie? Bottle opener Steve, Hahahaha. Hell i guess when you run out of ammo you can just stabem in the head. I wasnt sure where to put the lanyard hole so i just guessed. My first try man. Had to start somewhere. Haha. Seven days a week, 16 hours a day. Slowly whittlin away at the backlog of ideas and projects. This was just one of them. Sorry i havent been postin much. Been playing musical machines and trying to get this new EDM bugged out without destroying tons of material. R

You have to start somewhere, like you said and I think you did fine! I had to ask as Im just as curious as a 5yr old sometimes, lol Now, how is this grip shape different from the standard Ruger Bisley other than the obvious rounded butt. Is the back strap moved away from the trigger guard or stayed the same? Is the grip longer like the +300 without counting the lanyard ring? I like the shape, but as you know I dont have the knuckle pounding issue some guys have. Thanks Ronnie

I snapped some high resolution pics but haven't messed with them yet. This is a phone pic but it does give a better view of the Dealer frame and grips. The contrasting finishes make it look like a step between the grip frame and the frame but the joint is so smooth you can't feel it. RW leaves enough metal to do a nice fit so you can get a perfect job. I shot it some more. It is perfect. Control and recoil management are better at least in my hand that the factory Bisley.

Any chance frames for Freedom 97s are in the works? I have a 44Spl that’s just plain awkward to hold. Thanks
Edited to add: Ronny sent me a phone number to call- with his permission I’ll summarize what he says once I get a chance to chat.

Thanks Edited to add: Ronny sent me a phone number to call- with his permission I’ll summarize what he says once I get a chance to chat. I will help you out there Mike. I have always wanted to make a 97 and 83 that is the Ruger interpretation of the Bisley. There is so much difference in the general configuration that i have had to completely make a new setup for the FAs. Sorry i havent stayed on top of it but i have had my hands full here trying to get all of the bugs out of the Hammer and triggers situation. Mucho musical machinery swaps trades and deals to acquire what we need to do this right. Getting the EDM part of this perfected has been a real lesson. Of course the FAs are going to require steel and stainless so that has been another hurdle. Getting the right tooling and just the over all cutting process is much different than aluminum and Brass. I am trying to incorporate the wire EDM in to the machine work for ss and steel to shrink the time and costs a smidge. But we are almost there. I have many new frames to release here shortly for the Rugers and BFRs. Some of them are quite exciting. The neatest part will be the availability of a Hammer and trigger that mimics the Ruger Bisley spurred Hammer and matching trigger for the 97 and the 83 for those of you who would rather have that. The First Hammer will utilize the Ruger Hammer spring setup, rather than the FA. But the flat spring version will be available as well soon after.

Thanks for the update Ronnie, it was good news to chat and learn that options for the FA have been on your personal hit-list for a long time.
Please take whatever time you need and don’t work too hard!!!

Ok Fellas, Been a busy little beaver here in Hillbilly Hell Houston. Man oh Man has it been HOT!!!!! Me and Ferm Double Dawg G got to play and design a bit this weekend and generally bugout some issues on hammers and a Frames. Got a lot done and made a few changes that will enhance this endeavor! The state of politics, Business and just the way things have gone for the oil patch have played a big roll in things along the coast. That along with the corona card getting pulled out when someone drops the ball Has made it very hard to get what i need in a timely manner but i have found new sources. I am moving the EDM operation to this shop so i can have it available for more convenience. In the mean time i have finished up some old Projects and bugged them out. So lets talk about The BFR Bisley Interpretation as Max so elegantly stated. I never really payed much attention to the frame because at the time i was ,and I quote (close Minded). I like conventional stuff. I have a 19 year old Gmc Duramax with 700 thousand miles on it, ( I love It) I have a woman that i have been married to for 32 years. (OMG do i love that Woman) I love my same old Dawg, She's my best friend. I have a hard time with change because i am of the belief that if it works or aint broke, dont fix it! But, And i mean But as in HOWEVER, Some things could stand some serious improvement. You Guys and your ideas and wishes have changed me even more so than i could have possibly imagined. I have always believed that a stopped clock is right two times a day but changing the geometry of these grip frames on a daily basis has taught me to keep a much more open mind to design. Brass on Stainless, Bluuuch! Ok now hang on a minute , that looks pretty darn good! Thank you Bradshaw, Haha change one. Two, A dragoon trigger guard on a Bisley, Bluuucchh. Ok now that i have made one i need two. Haha! The BFR Bisley, Double Bllluuuuch, It looks like a Banana....... Once again at the request of Big Bore 5 Wayne Hager i made one for the Ruger frame. Wow. I had never shot one but everyone says that they work very well for taming Recoil. THEY ARE CORRECT, IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And you know it dont look half bad either. It comes out of a holster and lines up perfectly in the hand instantly. I am impressed. So we have one now called The Biznana! it comes with two variances. One for use with a standard spur or Super black hawk hammer or one with a deeper cut that allows you to use the Ruger Fatback bisley! It also looks pretty cool because the way the top strap flows in to the Backstrap i takes up the hump and looks pretty darn neat. I will get a picture of it for you soon because im sending the one i have to Wayne for evaluation and test trials. But here is a few shots of an aluminum version for the SBH Hammer on a 44 mag. I followed the same trigger guard pattern as the BFR for those of you who are a Fan. But a Bisley trigger guard for biz trig and of course hunter or Dragoon can also be done if so desired. Enjoy!

For some reason it looks a hell of a lot better on that Ruger than it does on a BFR

Now i have always been of the opinion that a bisley backstrap has to conceal the upper screws that attach it to the frame and that if the are visible i consider it a conventional plow handle. But Once again as Max stated, it is an Interpretation. The Ruger version is not like the original Colt but Ole Bills Interpretation of it modified for shootability. So here we go with the crazyness AGAIN. Mr Big Bore had an idea. Keep the same pattern and drag that Backstrap up to the top so that it is with out question a DARN BISLEY..........LOL! So here we go. Whata ya think Guys?

For some reason it looks a hell of a lot better on that Ruger than it does on a BFR I thought this as well, maybe the blued finish? When I heard people asking for a BFR Bisley frame this isn't what I had in mind? I was thinking a Ruger Bisley grip for a BFR.
