Craig Sorry to hear that! I reckon you'll have to keep things on the lighter side with the new FA. Or get that old "war wound" (as my dad calls them) repaired... Hope you heal up quickly and get chance to try out your babies Best BigBore44 Thanks Ray on the bright side though my 44 doesnt hurt even with stiff loads so Mr Thompson and Mr Garza really have piqued my interest in the smaller bores so I may play with those and still throwing around the idea of a longish 357 mag..... I guess a guy who lives in Indiana doesnt really need a 475L. But Ut if I want the real big bores theyll just have to be shoulder fired Craig Craig I could trade you my Single 7 for your 475, than you can shoot n shoot n shoot n Not hurt! Its easy on powder, easy on lead stash, easy on brass, eady on the wallet and easy on YOU! Its a win win situation Just try'n to help a buddy out.. Let me know and I'll get her boxed up. BigBore44

Well..... havent had time to shoot either of my FA's yet but stopped by a friends on the way to work. Thumbed of five rounds out of his 475L and it darn near killed me. Have what I guess is a permanaent injury in my right wrist and arm. Thought perhaps maybe I was good again as it hasnt bothered me for quite awhile.... I was wrong. Shot well but my wriat and arm feel like someone slammed them in a car door.... repeatedly. Bad thing is I have a brand new 475L FA and 1000 rds of brass.... So load it down and work up slowly!!

Helped two newbies with their Kahr CW9s, fifth time I've been out with this couple and their CW9s function flawlessly. I have a CW9 and it shoots much better than what a 320.00 should shoot and it's also a nice pistol to carry in summer. I also rattled some plates with an SA EMP4 and a Colt DS with a 158grain SWC. Beautiful weather, nice students and had a great day!

Shot my 43 for the first time yesterday. I'd added a Ghost 3.5# connector and did a bit of polishing. First shot out of the pistol Most groups ended up like these. Hard to get my grip "just so" with the abbreviated dimensions. I'll learn how to hold my mouth just right soon enough. I'll also add a +2 mag extension to give me a bit more to hold and more importantly place my left hand.

Yes Sir I thought of that but I purchased that one with one thing in mind.... and that was if I ever got lucky enough to hunt big game but dangerous game as well.... something Ive wanted to do since I was young and some of the gentlemen here have shown me thats possible to do without a rifle.... Just in from the heat. Was properly ventilating a steel drum for use as a burn barrel. I used one of my Ruger cordless drills, the 480. Penn 335gr bullets deepseated on 8grs of Unique. Stout enough load to seal the brass off to the cylinder and easily punch thru both sides and double bottom of barrel. Easy ejection, bet they'd core a deer like an apple and easy to shoot. Ten shots, twenty holes. No extension cords or charging of batteries needed. Another household chore taken care of by the suitable application of ballistics. He He He !

CMH, sorry to hear of your hand/wrist issues. I wish the 480 had come to me earlier in life, eyes, hands, not what they used to be.

Dug out a Kimber custom II last night that hasn't seen sun light in a long time. It was an extention of my right arm back in the early 2000s but started to lose ground as I lost brass on the ground , and eventually got put away in favour of the wheel guns. Only shot 25 rnds, but it reminded me how nice the .45 acp is and what a pleasure that auto loader is to handle. By the way, I came back to the house with 21 empties, I guess some things never change.

I always plan on losing a few empties when shooting an autoloader.
Just the nature of the beast. I have tried spreading a tarp. Sometimes that helps, except when it overshoots the tarp. Ha

The revolvers have taken a resting spot in the safe. But the 1911's have been the guns of choice this summer.

Still learning my 6.5" 32 maggie. I love this thing. The wadcutters shoot pretty much to point of aim at 50 yards when i can control my trigger pull.

For the last two days I've been trying to figure out the new Delta Elite I'm testing. I'm starting to come around with it. These were shot at spitting distance (15 feet), but I will stretch it out soon enough. First target is with Double Tap 200 grain JHP loads. Next target was two shots of the Double Tap 230 grain hardcast loads. Then I rattled off a magazine full of the Federal 180 grain loads.
