I can do it!! But I'd rather just bring them there and we could lower the swine population when we are tired of watching other people work at your house

Shot my loosy goosy .454 SBH this morning. I was testing Federal's 300 grain Swift A-frame loads. I have an Ultradot 4 in Weaver rings mounted with a prototype Weigand no drill, no tap base. First five-shot group is at 50 yards, second at 25 yards. Not bad for a revolver that locks up as tight as a 30 year old screen door with a busted hinge in Hurricane Alley.

Max is that the test gun you put through the wringer before the official Lipseys release? If it is how many rounds have been through it?

Yeah, this is a pre-production model, but it didn't get ridden as hard as the .480 as far as round count is concerned, but it digested some pretty heavy loads (heavier than the .480) to the tune of a couple thousand rounds to date.

Nice shooting, Max. What's the scoop on the prototype Weigand? Seems to hold zero. Is it gonna be available in the future?
What's your impression on it?
Thanks Ray

What did I shoot today? Not a damned thing. I have been busy with too many things to go shooting for some time.

I got this one before they went into production. I know it's bulky and not the prettiest piece of equipment being produced, but it works better than advertised and it is purely functional.

Shot my 1-7 twist AR with 40 grain Sierra hornet bullets with 20 grains of H4895. This reduced load cycled and the bullets were still in one piece when they hit the target at 25 yards. Shot my Encore rifle in 22 Hornet with 55 grain Sierra semi pointeds and 12 grains of Lil'gun to check and adjust zero. Also shot into frozen water jugs to test for expansion. They expanded nicely and the groups were slightly over an inch at 115 yards shooting prone with a bipod. Shooting these bullets with 10 grains of H4198 resulted in bullets that looked like they could have been reused after being fired into a frozen jug.

I did not get to shoot a thing yesterday but the mobile slaughter guy shot three for me! Living proof that the key is bullet placement! All dropped like rocks when hit in the right spot with one of those HUGE 22 mag bullets! This is the last of the three to go in the truck and no, that is NOT me sweating away and trolling for skin cancer!

Wow, haven't seen a High Standard 357 in a coons age! Thanks for the pic. How many rounds through that old trooper?
