Spent 3 hrs or so trying loads in a 357 max barrel . My 358 JDJ was just getting to hard on my arthritic hands so I traded it to my son for the 357 max 10 in. Best load of the bunch turned out to be 18.5 gr I M R 4227 Win s r Primer 200 gr Rem. sp. Rem.brass 4x Leopold scope. Lot better weather than Sixshot and Callshot had. Had a skiff of snow this morning but sunny and warmer this afternoon with no wind. Shot from under a covered porch with a wood stove right behind me. Shot the new Keystone Chipmunk 10 in. .22 some more at 25,50,and 100 with Aguila 40 gr Ely prime and 40 gr Aguila with Aguila prime. Both shot really well at 25-50 under 1 in 4x just not enough scope for me at 1oo group opened to 2"x 2"in. Beautiful day to shoot and had the place all to myself. Hope everyone had as pleasurable a day as I had.

Shot the first Silhouette match of the year. Anderson Co. Ky. Big bore .308 Savage, small bore .22 Chipmunk. RUSTY, RUSTY, RUSTY, tired going into the big bore rams, shooting good up until then. Let my mind wander and dropped a couple, not the way to shoot good scores. Weather was nice ,sunny with some wind, but had a hell of a fun day. Spending a beautiful day shooting, with good people that love it as much as you do, IT WAS A GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

A little Freedom Arms 500 Wyoming fun today. My buddy took a slow motion video of me shooting the 350 XTPs. The video shows recoil more significant than what I thought it was. The picture is of his 460 Smith being lit with H110. youtu.be/hJoz74mIJe4

Well, I had to teach a class today,, and HAD planned a test session with my newest bullet/gun combo. The .357 MAXI shooting the Bradshaw/Martin bullet. I shot a couple cylinders of another bullet,, to see where the gun was hitting,, as I hadn't shot this one in a while. Then,, as the twilight twinkled,, I settled down to try this new bullet. I shot 12 rounds,, with fading light,, and after a bit of rear sight adjustment. Here's the resulting target. Looks like a winner for sure!

I haven't shot my Ruger Bisley .32 H&R Magnum in awhile but I found a really good load tonight. I'm really starting to like Ramshot True Blue in this cartridge. Six shots at 30 yards off the bench - blew one! Bullet: Sierra 90 gr. JHC Powder: Ramshot True Blue 6.0 grs. Primer: CCI-500 Case: Starline OAL: 1.350 Comments: Duplicate of Brian Pearce Pet load, should be getting around 1100 fps. Shot the Beretta Target too! Ten shots offhand at 30 yards.

My son, grandson, a friend and I went to the farm yesterday and shot from about 11:30 am to 6:30 ish . Beautiful sunshiny day temps around 60 ish bit of wind. From 22 on up, 17 different calibers , long guns, short guns, black guns, green guns,[can't leave out the Garand]. Steel and a touch of paper but mostly 6 in to 12 in steel at 1,2,3,350,4 hundred yds. Several dollars went down range to say the least but, NOT A ONE OF THOSE DOLLARS WAS WASTED! A Beautiful day spent with Good Friends & Family, but aren't they the same thing? Hope everyone has a day like this in there future.

Just joined a new conservation club close the house, so I decided to grab a few sixguns and the chronograph and get some data! The 7 1/2 Super Blackhawk was the focus of most of the 50 yard shooting, this gun accompanied me constantly back on the family farm (Central Ohio) and took many groundhogs out to 130 paces, and a few whitetails and other farm pests. It took the trip back to Ruger 2 years ago as the barrel was starting to work itself out. It came back basically brand new, but with a rather generous b/c gab (.014") and endshake to match it. It'll get properly amended by someone other than Ruger. Its been a few years since I handled much full 44 magnum, so a little practice was in order. First load & chronograph data 20.5gr 2400 429421 .430 1433 1377 1386 1443 1436 1413 STDEV 27.70318875 MEAN 1414.666667 RANGE 59 of interesting note, when Ruger rebuilt my gun, they replaced the cylinder. Throats still allow a .431 bullet to pass, but the fired cases with full loads mic at .455" vs. .458" in the original cylinder. Second load 24 gr W296 240 XTP 1418 1391 1381 1391 1462 1410 STDEV 29.40351453 MEAN 1408.833333 RANGE 81 I did cherry pick my best groups, but my best shooting was ~2.5" at 50 yards. 10 grains of unique under an OT 240gr SWC was close to this as well. I left a couple random chambers empty to catch myself flinching, it was there but improved by the end of the session.

Picked up a Rossi M92 in 45 Colt. 20" octagon barrel. If I could just see the target, it sure does ring the plates. Shooting 278 gr LRN over 20 gr of IMR 4227.

Today. Friday March 27th of the year 2020 :
I shot my relatively new Smith and Wesson Performance Center Victory 22 lr autoloading pistol. This gun is sweet as Tupelo honey. It shoots very well and is relatively flawless. In fact I have been shooting modified flat points out of the gun. Gary Reeder has this tool that you can take the tips off of 22 LR rounds to increase the efficacy of the bullet on game. I recall shooting them, or should I say attempting to shoot them out of my Ruger Mk 4 22-45 Lite.
This gun has a nice Vortex microdot sight mounted on it. I do plan to replace the carbon fiber rail with a suitable metal one in the future. I may want to put a good 2 or 3 x scope on it for September squirrel season.
