You know they have the same bullet with PC, yes ? I got some for my M69. With the short cylinder, have had to seat over the smallish shoulder.

Was at the range last week with a couple of Ruger SA 45 Colts. 5.5 grs. Trail Boss under a 250 gr. RNFP sure makes a good plinker.

Just fine tuning some 270 Gr Speer deep curl .429 with 20 grs of H110 for my Ruger 77/44. The gun really likes these and Noslers 240gr JSP over 24 grs of H110

Got impatient waiting on an invoice for the 3 GB 32 molds I'm in on, and with the new caliber in the house,, and no more Ice fishing,, well I ordedred a New NOE 115-315 FN GC 5 cavity mold Tuesday, it showed yesterday afternoon. so After firing up the Mag 20 and thoroughgoing my approx. #2 alloy equivalent together, I got the new mold prepped and ready for quick casting session. I am going to start with the col. of 1.670" since the GP-100 will allow it. I have a large supply of Fereal 205M primers from my Benchrest days I'm going to try and work with and push some H110, as I know these babies can take some pressure. I ain't looking for small game loads, I want to try and find one that will work for reaching out and harming them smaller vermin!! As soon as I get another break in the crappy weather,, rain fog mist, I'll hit the range and see what I can get outa these new silver missile's, and just how far I can push that go pedal.

My favorite round 45 Colt, loaded 500 rounds of my everyday GP load, my own 250 grain WFN with 9.7 grains of WW-231 w/WW LP primer, in Starline Brass.

Hey Wildcatter,
Nice looking bullets. Do they fit?
You said COL of 1.670 for your cartridge. I measure the brass rim at .053. Subtracting the rim, since it does not enter the cylinder, gives a required cylinder length of 1.617. I measure the GP100 cylinder at 1.614. You should see .003 of the bullet sticking out the end of the cylinder. However, it will not bind on the forcing cone if your B/C gap is at least .003. Damn tight setup partner.
Please let us know how it goes.
Is my math off or my measurements?
Prescut

I think GP in this instance = General Purpose.

Please let us know how it goes. Is my math off or my measurements? Prescut Good catch, 1.570", my mistake! and your correct, my head and cylinder measurement would be 1.665", that would be my absolute longest OAL. if I wanted to keep the bullets flush at max length. I would never want to push them that tight just for reliability purposes, would always push for at least .005" inside the throat just for general assurance. this bullet is intended for a crimp .091" deeper than I am seating them. I also loaded this to 15.0 grains and still have good ejection at this same OAL. length, but they do spring back some and some interfere with the throat and wont seat some don't spring back and will stay seated enough to chamber but require firm seating when loading the cylinder because of the highly compressed load. I got 1627 fps with the 2 that I fired but will settle for the 14.5" load. I also shot it at 50 and 100 yards with a 1 3/4" 50 yard 5 shot group and 3 3/4" 100 yard group. I also was still 1" high at 50 yards and still just above the red dot at 100, this is going to be a bad little varmint round! I plan on casting a little harder alloy and retrying this bullet and load. When I mixed this alloy I wasn't expecting much over 1300 fps and thought I would be lucky to see that. The 1550+ fps was a big surprise, I may also try this same bullet that I have cast with this alloy using AA#9 or 2400 and see if I can tighten it up any with a little slower load??

I think GP in this instance = General Purpose. Yes the 125 grain 327 load is just a general purpose load, but I am using it in the 6" GP-100.

Seems like things are finally slowing down enough to get to the range. I took out my Miroku Winchester 73 and S&W 625-8 today and found good loads for both. I drifted the front sight a little to much and now it's shooting a little to the left. I was using a six o'clock hold so elevation is just about right. Ten shots at 30 yards. Bullet: Missouri Bullet Company 125 gr. TCFP (.359 with Hi-Tek coating) Powder: Hodgdon Titegroup 3.3 grs. Primer: Winchester Small Pistol Case: Starline .357 Magnum I haven't check the velocity on this .45 Auto Rim load yet but it shoots great! Bullet: Blue Bullets 250 gr. RNFP (Polymer Coated/.4515) Powder: Alliant Power Pistol 5.7 grs. Primer: Federal 150 Case: Starline 45 Auto Rim LOAL: 1.200
