Thanks Bigbore! Funny thing was that about a month before this one came up for sale I was talking to Bowen about building one and he told me there didn't appear to be and relief on the horizon as far as the .510 rebores. I'd given up on the idea when this one popped up for sale, and at a pretty decent price to boot.

That's a score right there. Perfect Packin Pistol just the way it is as far as I'm concerned. I'm planning on sending a few guns down the road this year and sure hope I can run across a deal like that at some point. Let me know if you ever get tired of it. It'd feel right at home here in the Alaskan Bush! Here are a couple quick pics of a Bowen GP44 in 500 Linebaugh. The gun is about as standard as they come for this type of work. in addition to the basic cost of the gun there were charges for: procuring Redhawk barrel Barrel rebore Cut barrel to 4" and install DX sight regulate sights In the future I may send it back to Bowen to have the cylinder fluted and chamfered. I was very happy to find this one, because of the rebore situation i doubt there will be more coming out of Bowen's shop. Judging by the date on the build sheet, I think this may have been one of the last rebores to come out of Dubell's shop

Is Gallagher the only maker of octagon barrels ? Would like to see a .32H&R Single Six or .32H&R Bearcat with an octagon barrel. That would be salivating. Not sure why I have not seen this thread yet. Awesome looking revolvers and I am only up to page 4 of 22. 1. Ruger Single Six, 5.5" octogan barrel 2. Alan Harton 3. .32 H&R Mag 4. Qualite steel grip frame 5. Sheep Horn grips by Josh Jollie 6. Super Blackhawk hammer 7. blackpowder chamfer

I have no idea. It is made by Qualite, not so sure I would buy another from them. it is already turning purle and the fit under the frame is not the best.

Should be a standard XR3-RED pattern. I've been disappointed with some of the QPR parts I've used.

Robster, Could you post a picture of that SS to show the fit of the ejector housing to the octagon barrel? I am planning a similar build and am interested in the fit since the SS locates the ejector a little closer toward the top of the gun when compared to a Blackhawk.
