Much better to get it handled at 3 than at 33 after 30 years of sinus issues. "git er done" Prayers and good wishes for him and you.
Hope everyone has safe, successful and blessed day.

OK Axe, I will contribute. Shaping up to be an interesting day in Poetry Texas. Started out this morning, as in 4 AM, at 67 with a pleasant south wind. 4 hours later it is 54, the wind is from the north and the temps are still dropping. We are headed for 40 and rain by evening. That is if you believe the forecast. I think today I believe. Spring is close though. The horses and cattle are leaving their heavy coats on every tree they can rub up against. Hope you are having a safe, successful and blessed day.

I did not have any uncles who hunted or were fisherman. On the other hand I had a dad who did both. I can always remember like it was yesterday the first time we hunted together. It was a day spent in a natural brushy blind on a small point along the Mississippi River north of Lock and Dam 11 hunting ducks. I was well armed for the day with my Ithica model 66 Super Single. It was a single shot lever action 20 gauge with 3 inch magnum shells. That was back in the days of lead shot and those loads were more than plenty for the job. That was one heavy kicking combination. We took a fair share, but not a limit, of mallards that day. That was 1965, but still feels like yesterday.
Hope you have a safe, successful and blessed day.

It never ceases to amaze me how little love there is for the 35 caliber in rifles. My BLR takedown in 358 Winchester is my favorite woods walking / saddle gun.

We had a high temp of 59 degrees today. That was at 2:00 AM. Now we are bumping up against 2:00 PM and it has slipped down to 34. I reckon we will be just below freezing by 2 or 3 at the latest. That and bit of drizzle is going to make for an interesting Saturday evening. Hope you are having a great day. I think I will step out back and ring some steel before the drizzle gets serious. I have some new cast loads for the 358 Winchester in my BLR to try out.

For a chainsaw environment I used to rely on a leather pistol rug with brass zipper. I added belt loops for either a belt or chest strap. It worked real well to keep the dirt and sawdust off my pistol but still kept my pistol close at hand. Work a lot better than a flap holster to keep out the grit.

I tried that one year, plowed the snow then planted. Problem was come spring the snow melted and then all my tomato plants fell over.
Hope you all have a safe, successful and blessed day.

Is it the grips, or the ability of the people in the grip frame polishing process that are the real culprits?

My sentiments exactly. Heavy loads are for horses and pack mules. Anything you need for immediate use on a belt is okay, but most of your gear works better from a pack of some type.

Good Morning from Poetry Texas. Cold again this morning headed for cold damp and thunderstorms later today. All in all I am sick of winter and ready for the spring rains to wash in the new growth. Hope you have a safe successful and blessed day.

it'll be a cold day in Hades the day I pay any attention to a super bowl. It is a good time to hit the range though, no crowds.

You could always have a custom cylinder built for one of your 45 Colts. When I had my Huntington 5 shot .45 Colt built, I also had Jack make a fluted cylinder in .45 auto since I already had a couple of 1911's and more than "a few" rounds of .45 ACP on hand. At first, I wasn't sure I'd use the .45 auto cylinder that often.....I turns out I use it alot! and I don't have to chase brass! That is maybe the "purdyest" 45 ACP I have ever laid eyes on.
