Conventional wisdom, and releases from S&W, say any K frame Model that is numbered 10-1 all through the numbering sequence is good for +P pressures which the top end is 19-20K.
I have a Model 10-10 HB and a Model 15-3 and they shoot quite comfortably with a +P loading. The loads you have to be wary of is the old 38-44 loadings, and do not shoot +Ps regularly in older J frames.

As a recent 25-2 owner with oversize chamber mouths I've found (so far) that the 225 cast semi wadcutters fired from AR cases shoot the best. Wanting to try a 250-260 SWC sized to 454 next.
This 25-2 with a 4" barrel is a manstopper from another era.

Cool, looks like a confidence builder in the right hands. For me it would need different grips.

I had the 4" adjustable sighted model in stainless. A friend of mine has it now.

Dave Andrews the original ballistician at Speer always remarked that the 146 Half Jacket was kept in the inventory for years because reloaders screamed everytime it was dropped from the inventory. Because it was so accurate. I've shot boxes and boxes of these in 357 with superb accuracy. Unique and 2400 is a good place to start. They like to go fast.

Thanks all for the insights. No pun intended. I have a Savage 22 that has a Romeo 1 red dot that I just mounted on it a couple months ago? I shall start with that and an "Aargh" patch from the apothecary. Stay tuned!

3 weeks ago I came close to meeting my Lord, Emergency Pacemaker surgery and I'm happy to report I'm doing fine. Due to Pacemaker placement I can no longer shoot my favorite and only big game rifle a Ruger Scout Rifle in 308.
The problem lies in the fact that I am left handed. Very left handed, left eye dominant also. Shot an AR 15 today by resting the rifle (we were sighting it in) and placing my left hand over my left eye. Awkward but it worked the right eye worked by default. I'm not a rifle shooter primarily but do enjoy the .22 and would like to be able to take a head of game if necessary.
Suggestions about how to deal with this issue.

Impressed with your work. I'm 73 and have preferred short barreled handguns since my 50s. A 4" DA revolver works well for me and a 3" 357 is my favorite carry revolver.

Shot the 329 and found the Skeeter load to be uncomfortable. Own a 69 4.25" 44 Magnum and it has become my favorite 44. It fits my hand better than any of the N frames. It is more compact yet powerful. It is the most accurate 44 I own and I have several including a Pre 29 5" 44.
It's no heavier than an Lframe and packs like an L frame.
Mine is her till I pass on.

Check out Purdy Gear first and Barranti Leather second. Purdy Gear to die for. And you might it's usually a long wait time, but worth it. Lots of 1911 stuff there.

Axehandle: How many of those tieups were with 9mm+P ammo? Bummer if the LCRs bind on standard pressure rounds.

Haven't measured the cylinder lengths as I am recuperating from surgery but I think the 19 is longer. Barrel shank on 19 is probably a bit shorter.
