A .44mag cylinder would work for rechambering. The .41mag is about .035" shorter in chamber area and the .357 even more so. Ruger makes the chamber area smaller as the caliber drops. Keeps a person from inserting a .41 in a .357 gun or a .44 or .45 in a .41 mag gun.

Be advised the MINIMUM load with H110 and the 250 XTP published by Hodgdons is 25.7 grains. Which is 3% lighter than the maximum of 26.5 grs. See their warning. I use 26.0.

Yep I have the Manson reamer and have done 15 cylinders on my guns so far. Never had a negative from doing them and had lots of positives. Couldn't fit a .452 bullet through any until reaming them. Yes I like .45 Colts. Dana

Cary I get lots of them from the supposed DHL and almost an equal number from the supposed IRS. My ISP provider also blocks them and sends me a notice. About 40 of them last week, along with 2100 spam emails which they also block.

Spent 35 years in the civilian helicopter maintenance field in Alaska and Wyoming. Most of it as the manager. Too many heart attacks forced retirement at age 57 back in 2006. Now you all pay for me sit home. Married 41 years, 4 grown children and 4 grandkids 2 of each in each in both categories. I babysit my soon to be 5 year old grandaughter every day and thats harder work than I used to do. Since we have a Gibson worker here I'll admit to being the proud owner of 4 of their guitars, and 2 Martins. Wish I didn't have arthritis in my fingers.

Interesting. In the newspaper article he says his wife was not home so he and the dog go for a walk. In the Field & Stream article, he calls his wife on his cell phone to bring his rifle to finish the beast off. Something not right here.

I would start here. www.customsixguns.com/writings.htmBoth John & Dustin are very nice guys to talk to and since John started the 5-shot .45 Colt process. might as well get it from the source
