I am wanting to find two old model Rugers. Need a BKH-41 4 5/8" .41mag and a BKH-44X 4 5/8" .45Colt / .45acp. Someday I will locate them when I have the money in hand.

Turned 70 this year. My addiction is Ruger single actions, primarily .45 Colt.

I have a 5 1/2" S7 and like that barrel length. Don't think you can wrong in any of your poll choices.

As they are made in batches they may or may not have them. Don't believe they will say backordered on their web page. Have not ordered one in three years but I had to wait a long long time for it as their supplier or outside machinist had passed away and they were looking for a new supplier.
Best way to make sure is a phone call.

I have the minus set from .250" to .500". For the life of me I can't remember who made them came in a red plastic case with each case hole marked by size. I've used them from my .32's to my .480 well worth the price.

All I can tell you is the Black Micarta ones are thicker than the stock grips. They fit my hands fine. As for fit the last pair I put on the l/h panel fit perfectly the r/h needed the locator pin hole enlarged and was a little proud. The ones previous fit like they were made for the grip frame, except the .454 I had to fill the locator pin holes and then drill to match to grip frame. Rugers fault not Hogue. I have them on all my stainless Bisleys.

As usual Mr. Taffin is correct on the terminology.
Domino300, the Hogues fit better than the factory grips but may need the locator pin hole opened up a little of filled and re-bored. They are also thicker and fit my hands better. I have four sets installed at the present time,

Whenever someone on this forum asks the question "Which one should I get?" there will always be someone who says "Get them both." That's what I had to do with these 5-shot Bisleys Bought the 454 when they first came out got the 480 last week. Good finish work both but the grips had to be replaced with Hogue Black Micarta. B/C gaps are 0.008" on the 454 and 0.0025 on the 480. Cylinder throats were pin gauged at 0.454" and 0.477" respectively. Pin gauged the 480 barrel at 0.464" cant remember if I checked the 454 bore. All the reloading supplies except the bullets are here had to find throat size before ordering. Ordered three weights 420gr WLN-GC, 400gr WFN-GC both sized .477" dia. Ordered 50 375gr WLN-GC but only get them in .476" dia. We'll see how they do.
Anyway just wanted to thank all of the enablers on this site.

Bushog, I just went and checked on my spare (no it's not for sale) it has a very faint marking of XR-3 and original s/n of the gun. As far as I know that has been the same on my other XR3-Red steel frames. Just pulled the grips on two more and verified XR-3 markings only. I had to use a five power glass to see the marking on mine. Its on the r/h side rear of grip frame just behind the strut location. The one on ebay is a Ruger part and you can see the original gun s/n on it.
