Doc Barranti has struck again! Just a week or so after the SAA arrived so did the holster. The floral carved one with cartridge slide on the bottom is for the SAA.

I can appreciate the effort, but have never experienced it myself. I reload 20k+ a year on a progressive and have loaded maybe 1k in my life on a single stage.

I simply cannot imagine doing that many by hand! It must have been quite satisfying when the last round was ready to fire.

I couldn't agree more. Unless it's raining I plan to bring this revolver to the range every week until I die. No joke. It was born to be shot and I hope the finish shows honest and respectful wear when I'm gone.

So this must be record timing, I received an invoice and my Anaconda GP will be shipping back home soon. Very excited for the revolver but need to figure out where that money is coming from to pay the bill!

Absolute stunner! And I'm sure that one will see plenty of range time! You know me, I've got cases of .45 ready to load.

Thank you for the kind words gentlemen. I hope you enjoyed the photos. Will likely take some 100 yd video next time I get to the range.

The best way to keep them in good shape is by slowly extracting your brass. If you reload quickly that's when they will fail. Especially if your brass is sticky.

The RIMZ clips work well for casual use, though I wouldn't recommend them for carry or competition. I have broken several with sufficient use.

I never met Mr. Gallagher but have followed his work for years. So very sad to hear of his passing.

I currently use a Simply Rugged, will soon have a Barranti custom cross draw inbound.

Oh, how this reminds me of a prior time. I just waited the better portion of three years for a sixgun to arrive. Magnum Research and Freedom Arms have some incredibly reasonable lead times.

Follow Up:
Today I shipped a .44 SRH Alaskan to BCA for Anaconda barrel swap and rechambering to .45 Colt. The search for my PPP in DA form has been years in the making and I believe this will be the one. Ultimately I decided on the .45 Colt for a few reasons:
1. Anaconda barrels look awesome and BCA had them available, was originally leaning towards an SP-profile. 2. 45 Colt is incredibly flexible in a SRH. You can load 155 gr at 600 fps up to 400 gr at 1,200 fps. That's plenty of horsepower. 3. I prefer 6 shots in a DA revolver when possible. 4. Plinking loads are more economical in .45 caliber than .475 or 0.5xx.
Very excited to finally start this project!
