For the 5.5" Redhawk, what's your favorite belt holster for field carry?
I'll be looking for leather for handy carry on the ranch. I'd like to see what's worked well for you.
Thanks!

For heavy guns such as RedHawks I don’t think you can do better than a Simply Rugged Sour Dough holster. Pancake style held in front and behind the gun so it doesn’t move around in the field much. I have one for my FA 83 475L it’s a dandy.

I need one for a 5" Super too! Great looking revolver. I will likely go 5"/500 with this Redhawk.

FOR USE ON A GUN BELT (I DON'T CARRY ON PANT's BELTS) I HAVE AN EL PASO SADDLERY AUSTIN HOLSTER THAT I REALLY LIKE FOR MY REDHAWK, AND THAT HOLSTER ALSO WORKS VERY WELL WITH 5 INCH N FRAMES.

Milt Sparks, HSR. Or 200AW.......have become my go to belt holsters now that Rybka is no longer making any. If you could get a Bruce Nelson Professional done for a revolver it would be terrific.

I've got a Simply Rugged Sourdough Pancake for my 5 1/2" Redhawk. Can easily carry it all day with very little effort. Had that holster for a number of years now. Can't beat it
I have a Carved Simply Rugged on order now for my 2 1/2" SRH Alaskan as of the other day.
I find Rob's holsters work really really well for me.

I really like the Galco DAO for my 5 1/2” RedHawks. Carries the weight well on a pants belt and I like the option for strong side or cross draw.

I've used a J.W. O'Rourke Crossdraw Field Holster for about 13 years. I ordered two Simply Rugged holsters for other revolvers, and just didn't care for them. Both went unused and sold one with the revolver, hoping the other goes if the BFR sells.
