I FIGURED TAFFIN AND SIXSHOT WOULD HAVE PLENTY OF KILLS TO POST. INTERESTING THAT SIXSHOT's MOST BIG GAME KILLS WERE WITH A 41 MAG AND 2nd A 44 MAG, 2 CALIBERS I HAVE NEVER KILLED ANYTHING WITH.

I killed many a pop can with my revolvers, funny thing is, my little bear cat kills them dead as my .454 ! Shot placement is key, cause if ya wreck the bar code they ain't worth a dime. Hoping to get a mule deer this year. But most likely with a .41 mag. Will be packing only a hand gun, when my buddies are Bow hunting for deer and elk, I will be black bear hunting. Want to take a 44, but cause my .41 has a optic, it will most likely be the one....tj

Whitetails and bunnies, with a 629 Classic 44 mag and a BFR in 45 Colt. I've seen no difference between the two.

So far deer and pigs. Tried to go to Africa 3 times and nearly died 3 times right before getting ready to go. I am beginning to think the Lord doesn't want me to go to Africa.

Mice thru deer with my 44's. Since I started on those long ago, don't consider "big". Just an everyone should have 3 or 8 or.. Normal, ya know ? A few months after Ruger put the 480 with their name on it, in their SBH, was watching Jurassic Park and found myself reaching for the phone to order one. These constitute "big" for me. Funny, like MWM, my 480, well, the shorter barreled one that came next, was blooded on possums and porcupines. Doubt I'll truly use them on anything bigger than deer, unless that grumpy bear finally fails to back down, or a 'Squatch .. There is a marked shortage of T-Rex, Watusi, Hippos around here, sigh. There is a batch of 480 Ruger brass in the tumbler now, to get CCI350 primers/8.2gr of TB and Missouri bullets 340gr RNFP. The summer time, fun time load. MWM, an excellent question, thread. Thank You.

A few years ago while deer hunting I cut a pile of hair off one side of a coyote at 70 yards with a 400 gr 480 slug out of my Ruger SRH. He was leaving the area at the time the shot broke.
But I've killed a number of deer with my handguns in 41 Magnum, 44 magnum, 35 Remington and one with an older 3.75" 45 Colt Vaquero.

I have used 357 Max, 41 mag, 44 mag, 45 colt, 454, 460 S&W, and 500 S&W to kill a number of hogs and deer. I used a 44 mag in Australia to take 5 water buffalo and 1 large hog.

Bison, elk with a .45 colt and home cast. I have a custom .475 max. I've never used it for any game, just punching steel.

my 45 Colt snubbie has taken plenty of masked 4 legged bandits ( probably more than anything else, except my 17 Mach 2 rifle the MRS likes to shoot ) my 50 caliber revolvers( got both a 50 A.E. 5 shot Super Blackhawk, & a 500 JRH BFR, as well as a 45-70 BFR, & Ruger Superb BLackhawk in 480 Ruger mostly get just paper & steel right now... when the Holster is completed I'm hoping the 45-70 & 50 JRH find a couple white tails... and maybe some year I'll get to go to Alaska ( MRS cousin was in the service, & married a native Alaskan... I want to go up a couple times... 1st to help him sustenance hunt, but a big Kodiak Brown Bear is a bucket list hunt...

Oh to have had a video camera back in the 70's when we were shooting Jackrabbits west of Blackfoot, Idaho Falls & Mud Lake. Just picture looking at the blades of grass on your lawn, the blades were Jackrabbits. The snowy fields would just be carpeted with anywhere from 500-700 Jackrabbits at a time. We were sitting on top of the haystacks & at the end of the day the snow wasn't white, it was solid red from the stack all the way back to where the sagebrush started. My daughter & oldest son probably killed 2-3 thousand Jackrabbits each, one winter using Ruger 10-22's. I used mostly single six's, 357's & 44's. Loading was the problem, you were always, always empty. Sometimes we were shooting straight down because they were eating all around the haystacks. I heard of some haystacks actually tipping over but didn't actually see it.

I shot an old 360 Ford motor with my .50 BMG (armor piercing bullets). Does that count? -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"
