Sweet! That’s gonna be a nice trail/walking/hiking/hunting piece! The boomers and heavy heavers have a place but so do the “sub” calibers and soft shooters. I have something in the works, similar but not near as refined. Waiting on a 30 Luger barrel from BarSto for my Glock 17L.

Asa, John and Joe, thanks for that and I'll post pictures soon.
The only undecided aspect is the grips. The Uberti Grips refinish well, so will likely be my choice. Time will tell on that one.

personally I'd want a bigger bore on anything I'm calling a "Lion Hunter" ‚ I used a .44 Mag. 629 on the only 2 Mt. Lions I‘ve ever killed, but I know an old–time lion bounty hunter who used a .22mag. revolver.

I like that the gun is purpose driven in design. Meant to fill a very narrow niche and do it well in the hands of the owner. Very neat ! Thanks for sharing.

I have had " What If " encounters hand holding Thompson Center rear sights in such a fashion on fixed sight guns. Seemed like a real doable thing . Real interested to follow this.

Hey Huey, tack a look at the heritage rough rider rancher stocked SA. You can see a preview of rear sight setup your doing on your build! Looks real cool!

Hey Huey, tack a look at the heritage rough rider rancher stocked SA. You can see a preview of rear sight setup your doing on your build! Looks real cool! Dave told me he'd send a tracking number today. But, I'll look up the gun you mentioned too. Should have the Clements' Gun in hand Tuesday evening. Will be posting various pictures soon with Mag's help. NOTE: Looked up the gun and the principle is the same. Main difference is we decided to use a shorter front sight in a base instead of dovetailing it into the barrel. This was considerable more work and cost, but feel it will be stronger on the revolver. The original looks to have been built like the Heritage Rancher. My gun will mimic the intent of Matthes' Gun, but not be an exact replica. Thanks for pointing this gun out to me. I don't usually follow Heritage Guns.

Oh that Heritage Rancher is cool! Three hundred bucks? I bet they're not available anywhere.

As for the grips, I think I read the original had mesquite burlwood. Be hard to find a good burl for it, but it'll be nice if you can

Well, the tracking number was received. It's just a waiting game at this point.
Looking at some simulated ivory grips which would really finish this package off.
