well i have found another issue i am not 100% percent how to do it i have the ability to do metal work and even lathe work but i do not have access to a metal lathe i have to modify my base pin for the Ruger Blackhawk here is what the pics show comes on Elmer's Ruger and here is what i have as i bought a extra just in case i make a mistake on this good friend told me i will have to modify mine as these are like hens teeth i was thinking of using a drill press and use some emory cloth and remove the collar but i see the early ones use a different locking bolt with these early pins my thinking is this came over from the 357 model and i wonder if the cross bolt is interchangeable thankfully Dad has his 1957 and it has all of these parts to use as models i think the early pin also has a deeper cut all the way around unlike the later ones as you see have just this small cut if i had a cross vice with some cutters i might try it but worry the pin would wobble as not supported on both ends the fun stuff of figuring out how things were done stay safe out there God Bless,John have a safe and happy Labor Day Weekend too

I have more of the OM collared base pins like the one shown than any others.
You may also have to shorten that base pin a little. I'll see about getting you an OAL measurement of a true OM .44 FT.

Those are some fine looking grips/stocks....only problem I see with them is you have them and I don't. 😃
