yes, and got it, and big, big thanks! Do you want to share with the folks here? It's handsome, with the 7.5" barrel, silver scope, triple rings, removed front sight, and bisley style grip frame with white micarta.

Speaking of .44 Mag BFRs, here is my 5-inch Bisley .44 Mag BFR. It's a nice compact configuration.

Speaking of .44 Mag BFRs, here is my 5-inch Bisley .44 Mag BFR. It's a nice compact configuration. Max, in your books where you performed penetration testing with the .44/405 grain combo, do you think this would perform better since the rate of twist on the .44 mag BFR is faster and would allow for more stable flight and possibly better penetration vs the ruger 1-20 rate of twist?

This is Mark's 7.5" 44 mag For all its common-ness, I actually do not see many 7.5" barrel BFR's around, especially the short cylinder. I wonder why that is?

Well I bit the bullet. I just ordered a 7.5” jrh should be in Friday. I’ve been reading, shopping and studying for some time now. I’m new to this forum but I think I have read most of the forums I could find on the JRH. Thanks to all you folks for your knowledge. I had full intentions of getting the 5.5. But everywhere I looked they were gone. And it doesn’t sound like BFR will be building any for a few months. The plan is to cut it down to 5 inch anyway. So the 7.5 will be fun to try out for a while and compare. Quick question. Is the end of the extractor housing 4 5/8” or 5”. Or something else

You are right. I have been watching several times a day for a month. And now there they are. Guess I need to exercise my patience. Terrible at that

I am not worried. To be honest I am kinda glad that I got the 7.5 because now I KNOW I will shorten it. If I got the 5.5 I might have just kept it that way. Done that before. My idea was a packable every day gun. Anyone know about what a 4-5/8 would weigh ?

Here is mine in black. This is a 5.5" .500 JRH It has a true 5.5" barrel that Jason form JRH cut back and recrowned. They also extended the grip frame and added the layered micarta to fit my big mits. I sure do like the white grips on yours though. Very classy.
