Was really hoping they'd move the warning label to the bottom of the barrel on the .44Spl. They didn't with the 3", now I get to hope they did on the 5" Mine will be in today or Monday. I'll ask LGS to check and see. Probably the same as 3".

I have one on the way. $640 out the door. I'm kinda butt hurt that I didn't find this gun store sooner. I paid more than that for my 3 incher 44 spl.

My contact at Lipseys says warning is on the left side of the barrel. Same as the 3".
They are down to one in stock.

Wow weren't they just released? Glad I got one. I blame you folks for my 44 special addiction.

Looks like a great gun but I just can't get past that warning label. It's just me and I'm not complaining, just my reason for not jumping all over it.

Think of it like a good looking girl with a tattoo. Don't let it stop you... For years I refused to get a FA revolver because I didn't like the hammer. After awhile that mellows on a guy, and then one of our great enablers listed a FA M97 and I bit. Now I like the gun. Don't know if I can overcome that on the BFR, and a person could always take that warning label off and reblue...

I'm thinking the same thing. Slab side the barrel, remove the extended underlug, etc.

Guys- I've had ungodly numbers of Rugers over the years that had the warning label. I've sucked it up and shot them, had some removed, removed a few myself but there comes a time when you're just done with it. I'll buy the ones they've chosen to move to the bottom of the barrel and be a happy guy. Some folks refuse to buy the new Smiths because of the lock which bothers me not a bit. We all have our little issues. I'd probably get over it if it was a gun I truly had to have but it's not in my case, this time.

Stack of new Ruger on the incoming shelf this morning.. Saw a couple of 3 inch 44 Specials. No 5 inch blue 44 GP100s. Maybe next time
