I am still dreaming of the Ruger 1's that Jason said were coming. If memory serves me correctly they were supposed to be finished by the end of the 1st quarter of this year and still none. More details can be found on the Ruger forum.

Several of us had the opportunity to handle this gun & those of you who are young enough to do so will be doing back flips when the announcement is made. Did I hear the word STAMPEDE! I'll say it again, Jason has been great for our sport, he's one of us & being at the Holiday every year & listening & shooting with guys with years of handgunning experience hasn't fell on deaf ears. I did 3 laps around the range & even hugged Terry Murbach when I saw the gun....so you know I'm happy! Lipsey's & Ruger just hit a Home run! Dick Mr Thompson..... Reading the end of your post has me real anxious as I know it would have to be a pretty special revolver to garner excitement like that

Even though I'm not certain what it's going to be, I'm pretty certain I need it.

I sort of hope its not a .480, I already have a BFR so chambered. Rather see a .50 maybe.

I would think Ruger would of played with a proprietary .50 in the SRH first.... But I could be wrong what do I know just went down and chatted with my dealer at the other end of the plant.... As soon as one of us find a out what it is....

Well I just bet $35 that its a .480 ruger. Stopped at Gander Mountain and they had speer dchp on clearance for $32 plus tax. I don't currently have a .480 so hopefully that's what this is lol.

A 5-shot 480 is just what I was wanting. I sold off my 44 mag and large frame 45's and my last 454 with the idea that the medium frame guns can do anything I need doing here in Oregon, and for more power I'll just go up in caliber to the 480.
So I was set on buying a SRH first and then getting a custom 5-shot 480 Bisley. If there were more of those CDNN SRH 480's I would've got both.
For now, I'm waiting for the announcement and hoping like crazy it's a 480.
