You might be going the wrong way as to bullet weight. I ran the Nosler 40 grain BT at 4150 out of my 22-250 and wasn’t getting any exits. Do you think the 1-9 twist will stabilize the 40-through 50 gr bullets?

Going through this myself! 50/50 for your velocities! Even less clip on if you powder coat!

What twist barrel do you have in your rifle. Most older 22-250 rifles had sow twist barrels. My No 1 has a 1-14” twist and won’t stabilize anything over a 55 or 60gr bullet (and only some 60gr bullets). So it’s worth asking I shoot 55gr Vmax flat bases in mine and is wonderfully accurate and although I havnt shot a coyote with it I have no doubt it would be dynamite. I know a guy who runs the 53gr version in his AR in 223 and kills piles of dogs every year with the combo. Rarely has an exit hole to sew up. This has a 1-9 twist

, I bought a 510 taper crimp die from Reeder. Tight throats with a roll crimp was annoying. Made it difficult to seat the cartridge in the chamber. Taper crimp was the ticket!

Going to load up two ladders to test this weekend. One is 45C with the NEI 315.452. The other is 500L with the MP 511-525. Both on Longshot for some easier shooting loads. Hoping for best accuracy between 900-950 with both. Very interested in your .510 long shot recipes! Any experience with a lighter 375 gc bullet using long shot?
