Does anyone know of a brass catcher that attaches to the rail under the barrel on a semi-auto pistol, where a light or laser would attach? Thanks in advance.

I had one years ago bought off of Amazon and it was very finicky getting the position just right. As the bag filled with brass the handling of the gun would get wonky. Plus having a bag hanging off the gun was more distracting than you could imagine. I highly recommend one that attaches to a camera tripod.

Anybody know how the wrist mounted ones work?

As noted,, adding such stuff to a firearm,, either a handgun or a rifle,, can alter how it weighs & feels. Even wrist mounted ones can alter how things feel.
If only trying to catch a few at a time,, it's not a big issue. But if you allow too much brass to be caught and not empty the bag,, it can get heavy.
I own a range,, & often,, a simple cheap, blue plastic tarp spread out catches most of the brass a semi-auto slings.
One friend,, took some PVC pipe, some connectors, and made a stand up big "square". the square had a extension of about 18" near the bottom sticking to the rear, where a blue tarp would wrap around it all, and give him a "trap" so to speak for the brass. He'd stand this up beside where he was shooting,, and the brass would deflect into the "wall" of the blue tarp,, yet,,,with the extension piece,, sagging at the bottom, it traps the brass easily. Some of his connectors are glued,, while some of them are not. He can take this thing apart for easy transport. The tarp is attached using bungee cords.
I need to get a few pictures the next time he's out here with it.

Competitive Edge Dynamics brass mat. 8 foot square mesh - even in strong breeze does not develop lift.

My bad, I should have said "semi-auto pistol" in the OP. Now I've changed it.

Brass Goat looks interesting to me. I recently broke my brass goat. Just shattered the plastic while snapping it in place. But I liked it well enough that I will be ordering another one.
