How about it... I look back on 2011 and recognize it as a high spot in my gun acquisition years. I've seen a few good ones but none that would hold a candle to the Bowen, Linebaugh, Reeder, and Harton customs that have been added to my set this year. Unless I get severely tempted next week it looks like my Reeder Ultimate Bisley 475 will be the last for 2011.. 2012? Might be another good year!

Last of 2011 is a smith & wesson 396ng. First of 2012 will be a 329ng or m29 I spied in a pawn shop for less than four bills. Depends on how much green santa brings me.

The only gun I bought this year is an old Marlin model 60 .22lr. But I consider this a good gun year for me. I learned about and aquired Simply Rugged leather, I learned about this forum which has been a big blessing in my life. There have been a few people here that have been a big help to me in starting my reloading obsession. So I'll spend 2012 reloading and getting ready for December 21.:-) Oh and talking to everyone that will listen to vote for ABO in November. Thanks to Lee and all of you who make this forum informative and fun! -Paul-

2011 has been a great year for me handgun wise. I got my first Freedom Arms (97 in .22lr) and I'm getting to know it better with each range trip. I've gotten to know the .45 Colt this year and wonder what took me so long.
I just traded a Super Blackhawk for a S&W 586 that'll be picked up before the end of the year, so that will be my last. My first will be one of the new Lipsey's Blued Single-Tens or an LCR in .22lr, whichever I see first.

2011's been good to me too. I've added a couple of Bowen customs, a Linebaugh 500L, Clements FT custom, a Stroh custom, and several factory guns. My bank account hopes that 2012 is not as good.

You guys are going to hate me but my last for 2011 are two Glocks and my first for 2012 is another AR-15 that should be here in January... Give me a break, I needed (wanted) a couple new guns for a new assignment at work and figured it wouldn't hurt to have another AR for when the country goes in the toilet and I'm getting a steal on it.
I did much better at the beginning of 2011 though, got a Flattop Bisley .44 special, .32 H&R single six, .45 Bisley 5 1/2" and a S&W model 15 in beatiful shape all about January of 2011. I seem to buy in spurts and then don't buy any for 9-12 months.

My last 2 for 2011 should be here next week. Got a NIB tang safety Ruger 77 RSI in 250 Savage coming and Fermin's 32mag custom on the way as well. I blame Axe for that one!! Just got a 44 special Bisley last week.....all 3 of these were in Texas. I am slowly liberating as many cool guns as I can from Texas!! They seem to like the Georgia climate better.....

Taylor's Walker, bought at SASS Convention. Had to have a Walker to go with my Anderson prototype OUTLAW JOSEY WALES rig. Isn't the first gun I have bought to go with a holster. My S&W Mdl 27, 3.5 inch is because I walked into local gun shop many years ago and they had taken a Gaylord holster for same in on trade. Bought the holster, then found a gun for it. Seems a St Louis PD detective had the holster, PD regs said had to use Brauer Bros leather (local St Louis maker). Traded a Cadilac for a Chevy.

A stainless Ruger M77 RSI 7x57 and a Browning M71 were the last to arrive. The first will likely be something coming out of Houston...

Had to part with a couple of guns in 2011 due to emergencies, but I did receive a .44 special Bisley Ruger from the good folks on another forum. 2012 should turn out a lot better if John Linebaughs health continues to improve. Should be seeing my .500 by then. Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year to all of you.

This year has been a blast for me and single actions.
Got some, missed some and let a few go.
2 Clements OM Blackhawks, one a #5 from 2 Dogs, OM Harton in .41 special, a couple .32s and a .45LC Redhawk w/Anaconda barrel from Bowen and to wrap things up this month.. 3 FAs in .22, .327 and .41, a USFA flat top target bisley and a Nimrod in .500 Linebaugh.
Like somebody around here says...."about the most fun you can have with your clothes on".
Merry X-mas!
Greg
