I sold a few off this year -- unfortunately, but should have my "new" Maximum done early in 2012. I anticipate buying some more in 2012!

Well the last gun of 2011 was a Kimber Gold Match. But sense I lost my job last week, who knows what 2012 will bring. I may even have to thin the herd a little. Bill

Thanks to the bad influences here, how about 3 of these: Before After Got a consecutive numbered set for my 2 stepsons and of course I had to get one for me too... after all I have to show them the ropes, right?

Last of '11 were three AR-15s I built based on some "Black Friday" sales. Useful for coyotes and I have two boys, thus three of them. First for '12 will probably be a Reeder .475 Nighthunter, which was sent off for conversion in October.

Last of 2011 is a nice used SP101 i picked up for the wife to carry.
For 2012, I'm hoping one of my four customs gets done....It could happen ;-)
I'm building an AR in 45 ACP. If I beat DL and DC, then it will be my first.

The only one from 2011 that I still have is the unfired TLA Improved #5 and that is only until I find a new home for it! The first one of 2012 is not even on the radar. I sold several project guns and parts sets just to keep me from starting any more projects this year. I want to focus on refining the way my existing piker collection is set up and finishing the few unfinished projects that are still scattered from TN to AL to GA to TX to WY.
Probably the most exciting gun I hope to see in 2012 is the TLA Improved #5 41 Mag that bouncing around the eastern half of the US right about now. Some crazy hydrogeolist/preacher/gun nut has it tucked away waiting for nice weather so he can wring it out and stick some cartoon pictures of it in some comic book he is supposedly making!

New home for that unfired TLA 44? Heck man, you might as well put that TLA 41 up for a new home too...

You know me, just not a 44 Mag fan. When it is all said and done there will only be two in the safe. The Stroh flat top he is fitting the Powers steel gripframe and ivories on and the Clements browned long cylinder bisley. No other 44 mags need apply for residency. the 41 has a permanent home right next to the TLA 41 WT Flat Top Target. ;D

Only two 44 mags? PTL it is you and not me. I got the feeling I was on the verge of a tar and feathering a while back when I owned up to having less than a dozen. I quickly fluffed up my 44 mag set...

Shoot I didn't own anything but 41 Mags for years! Then I started getting flak for not "broadening my horizons" so I had a 44 Special done and now only 50% of the safe is 41's. There is even one getting worked on that starts with a "3"! And no, it is NOT a 357. That is one slot I do not have a gun for. The only reason I buy the "first magnum" is to use it for a conversion project.

The way to get that 41 percentage up is NOT to sell off the 44s.. All you have to do is add more 41s! I'm thinking a 410 GNR.... Later a 41 GNR and maybe a 41 GNR #2 will raise the percentage a bit. No 357s? Can't fit that idea into my head. That is one fine cartridge!

Looking like last one may be an adjustable sighted Heritage Roughrider.Depends on if the Boogster likes the feel of it better than the Beretta Neos I have had/hated for several years.

Axe, I know you and 2 Dogs along with lots of ofther folks like the work, price and value of guns out of AZ but they just do not do anything for me. I looked into some of the 41 'cats of Gary's in earlier years and talked to him some about them but have since narrowed my field somewhat. I appreciate his work and his contributions to various causes but just haven't added his guns to the "Quest" list at this point in time.
As far as the 357 goes Hamilton's book along with JT's books have casued my eyes to be somewhat myopic about the 357. All I see are these neat guns to make off that sized frame and I am a goner.

Dude! There is more than one way to skin this cat! Get Harton, Bowen, Linebaugh, Clements, Gallagher, or.... ...to build you a 5 shot 41 mag. Send that beast to Reeder to be rechambered to 410 GNR! You could do a custom Single Six 357!
