Amazing stuff. I think someday I'd like to try a bisley, and I really don't care much for single actions.

I put together this non-matching set with period grips in the last couple years, but recently gave the Colt to my dad for fathers day.

I'll second that. Those are beautiful Ropers on the colt.

You will never regret a K-22, until you get the credit card bill, but you'll forget all about it the first time you shoot it

I had accuracy troubles with this stainless .22 I purchased in the mid '80's until I discovered Paco's Accurizer! It has a "homeboy" half cock system and a retimed cylinder latch. This one, a "non-convertible" has always been a really good shooter! Of course, the 9-1/2 inch Old Model is also a real champ. It's fitted with a stainless grip frame that improved the gun's balance. And, ol' flatgate needs to have a Flatgate Single-Six for a shooter. This one has been fitted with a 7-1/2" barrel! Carl

Carl,
That Flatgate sure is a nice looking revolver,....especially for a 'shooter' with a few years under it's belt.

Out of the box the general concensus is that Single Six Accuracy is a crap shoot... There are a couple of short paths to better Single Six accuracy. People speak highly of Paco's accurizer..... David Clements has an accurizing trick he applies to the Single Sixes too.... After that it is custom barrels and cylinders. I agree out of the box is a crap shoot. My SSS I have had for 20 years or so shot .22LR poorly and .22Mag like a shotgun. My more recent Bisley version shot like a target pistol out of the box. But there is a better option that custom barrels and cylinders: Alan Harton. I took him my older one and hee looked at it and said he didn't think it would be a problem. Got it back and it was shooting 1" groups with CCI Mini Mag. He suggested I not shoot .22Mag in it and I have not since. Just for the heck of it, he did a trigger job & retimed it even though I didn't ask for that to be done, just 'cause that's the kind of guy he is. Axe - what is Dave Clements trick? FAVOR TO ASK: You guys with the Exemplars, would one of you be so kind as to take some really good close ups of the stippling and email them to me? I would really, really appreciate it!
