Frank, Windage is perfect and as I said the only problem is it shoots high at 25 with anything like Skeeter's old load. If I want to shoot a heavy load then I'll drag out one of my little Ruger Bisley FT 44 Specials. Tom

Well, it's been five months since I ordered my December Special (7 1/2 inch 44 Special/44-40) from USFA. Has anyone else received theirs?

I ordered this Double Eagle .44 spl at the end of December and got it about early April.

Hobie, you said "Almost spoils Rugers for you". I looked at a pair of USFA's the same day I bought a Vaquero and a Montado. The chambers in the USFA's were rough and showed heavy tool marks and did not come close to those of the Rugers. I bought Ruger thinking that internal components were probably the same. Both needed triger/action jobs. The Rugers have turned out great. Did I get lucky with these? I now have three single actions and a Super Redhawk. All are great!

I have 4 USFAs now and have yet to see rough heavy tool marks on any USFA I've handled much less those that I own (and one of those is a recent Rodeo). The new Ruger Blackhawks (new model old frame size) are much better fit than some I had seen.

Most USFA's don't even have any tool marks on the inside, much less the chambers.

Craig, I'm trying to be polite and not go after the flashing silver spinner-bait...

Current SASS newsletter has add by Longhunter saying not currently accepting orders for USFA revolvers due to failure to deliver.

I was getting a little worried about mine but it looks like it will be here in a day or two... I'll have to get some ammo ready!

I really like the USFA six-guns, I think they are really well made, accurate, & an easy packing six-gun. Frank

I would agree that my USFA is one of the most finely fitted and finished revolver I own - second to only a FA model 83! That is incredible at the price point. A problem for me is I fear some of its' potential is lost due to the primitive sights.
edit: afterthought... has anyone adapted (or had done by someone like Clements) adjustable sights? If the gun had better sights I'd be happier. No, no longer authentic but I don't run around in cowboy duds - I ride a tractor!

Sounds like you need a USFA Flat Top Target??? Frank
