Just received the Optima 18-530 solid state wiring harness for the Harley chopper. So it's down to me being happy working on the bike this weekend or remodeling a bathroom to make the ol lady happy.

Finished up the SU carbs on the MG-A, installed them, dialed them in and took off down the road!! It's good to have it running right. I loved driving a friend's MG, then his MGB-GT! I had a 1970 240Z with SU clone carbs, they didn't get them down too well so I replaced them with Webers.

I also have a '74 MG-B that the previous owner had put a Weber on. Fortunately he saved the SU's and all the bits and I couldn't rebuild the carbs and put them back on quick enough.
I really like the 240-Z. After those, not so much. The later ones just didn't have the same panache.

My youngest son asked me if I knew of any 240-Z cars for sale the last time I saw him. Shoot, they were discontinued before he was born I think.

I looked into swapping my 1969 Datsun 2000 for a 240Z just to get A/C, but the price discrepancy has widened a ton since I last checked. I'd either be downgrading quality or adding a chunk of cash. They remain cool cars, great quality, and solid aftermarket support. Give me a Rebello built 240Z with triple Solex and I'll never feel a need to upgrade.

With Western hunts planned for early next month, yard mowing, and prepping for some old limb burning is going in this weekend. Loading ammo for the coming season and verifying zero in the next couple weeks.

Today isn't going to be as hot and it's pretty pleasant here this morning, so I am casting bullets and loading some I cast awhile back.
Casting:
SSK 44 310gr NEI 45 315gr swc NOE 501 440gr hp Lyman 452664 250gr fprn
Loading:
357max 21gr 4227 Keith 174gr swc is already set up on the Apex 10 so I'll run 2000 of these. I love automation when it comes to pumping out loaded ammo!
On the Six Pack I have 45C setup for the NEI 315 swc on 8gr of Red Dot. It takes longer, but I want to do 1000.

Coffee this morning and church will be remote online. Yesterday I talked with the old men and watched kids fish! That was a good day!

This ended a trip to the woods on the CanAm with two pumped up 14 year olds. The tires are 16 years old so I can't complain. What gets me is having to give the DMV more money for another tag. I know some of you know what that means. Tires are like a roof to me, you don't like doing it but when you do you sit back and say "Yeah, that's cool".

NOT TODAY, BUT YESTERDAY MORNING I WENT TO MY RANGE ON THE RIO GRANDE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN SEVERAL WEEKS AS RAINS HAD KEPT ME AWAY. RANGE WAS DRY ENUFF TO GET IN AND USE BUT THE GRASS AND WEEDS MADE IT UNUSABLE, SO I PUT IN SOME TIME DRAGGING 2 HEAVY EQUIPMENT TIRES AROUND AND THEN WENT BACK IN THE AFTERNOON WITH A WEED EATER. GOING BACK THIS MORNING (TO SHOOT).

I gave up trying to track down my wiring short on my trailer and paid someone to rewire the whole thing. Picked it up yesterday and they said the issue was the license plate light, so they gave it a better ground attachment. Today I’ll ne making g some small belts for tightening up my Danner snake boots. The top of foot straps that are supplied with the boots do not allow enough tension keep the boot from slipping too much. Also packing bearings on the trailer and checking brakes on the truck.
