Mowed the rest of the pasture early this morning while was still in the 80s then cleaned and processed 150 bundles of lavender that was dry enough. Pulled the plug on getting my ffl due to boneheaded county officials so most grip work will be based on customers gripffames I’ll bolt to my shop main frames.
I am slowly losing my patience with many parts of our government is all I will say,

ADA issues Robb?
That is what turned me away from getting an FFL and pursuing a gunsmithing venture 10+ years ago at my shop at home.

Working on visiting various assisted living properties for Mom. Getting King6 a check, spending more money with 45man, and looking forward to drawing blood via gunpowder starting Sunday. Also doubled up with some group therapy the other day shooting some of Dicks .41 bullets and dropped two swine in some quick abatement work. The accurate application of 40gr. of 22wmr from 50-60 yards does wonders on feral hogs.

No Don, ADA was not the issue since there will be no on site customers or retail. The ATF wanted a letter from the county saying it was ok for me to shape 3"x4" pieces of wood to a grip frame in my shop that I have ran a septic pumping business and woodworking business out of for the last 30 years. No problem dong that because no one had complained or asked about those business's like the ATF asked. Once I had to ask, it turned into a complete Conditional Use permit issue with public hearings, postings, 60-90 days plus a $900 application fee. I reiterated to the young planner kid that no retail, no customers on sight, no additional materials and that there were already 5 different business entities operating down that same driveway but no no movement on the counties part.
I am afraid I lost my faith witness about that time and looked at the kid and told him what part of my posterior the county could kiss and walked away.

A gathering o'the Clan, a camp meeting today. This to plan out the remainder of the work, materials left, needed to finish the new camp building. The original old farm house is on its last legs. The new building was started years ago with a shift needed foreseen. It progressed to a point where it was half enclosed and half pavilion. With usage going up, more kids/grand kids, more enclosed clean sleeping areas now needed, so a push to finish while the current senior members can still do some physical work. On the way home from meeting, a stop at a younger friends for some help with my retirement paperwork. Monday a meet with guy for help with S.S. and Medicare and such. Busy stressful patch of life right now. Am hopeful that new Med system in place, and new income streams will be all dialed in before you know what season. I consider all this WORK. LOL. Life, a hurdle to jump. Yeah , but the hurdle into retirement,100% worth it. Just dig in and do it.

To the right of this tree line is 660' of the WORST field fence ever installed and will be replaced after I pull down the old fence, cut back 660' of tree line 3' back and tractor height up, then replace the fence. I got most of everything out today, probably 500'. The balance has to be cleared of brush. In the 500' feet I pulled out I only had to remove six staples and about 20 wired ties on those green metal posts.

I didn't get that far, no one believed that there were going to be no walk-in customers. Had to pave a ADA parking space, sign and all in front of my shop in an otherwise all gravel driveway. They didn't like the 32" man door into the shop either, needed to be wider and have an opener on it too.
After haggling with a minion for nearly an hour I said the heck with it and bagged the whole idea.
