I’ve asked Kevshell to post the pics but here is the story. i spent the last week taking does and pigs for donation to some families by way of a local church where I hunt. Sherry and I took 6 deer and 3 pigs, she used my 357max to take a doe at 97 yards, which now belongs to her. I used a Ruger SRH 454C to take a doe with a 300gr. Swift AF, and then took a few more with my double rifle. The last donated animal was a red sow that I was able to sneak in to 35 yards of, so I set the double rifle aside and took the shot with my Bowen.
I got this gun from a forum member and have developed a nice load for it that is accurate and easy shooting. A Bowen SRH 500L, wearing some of Zane’s grips. The 485gr. PCHP from Randominator, going 990fps. I took the shot as she faced me hoping to run the untried load through as much pig as possible. The 485gr. bullet weighed 484.2gr. and measured .998”x .685”. It stopped after about 36-38 inches of penetration. The pig was estimated at 80-90 pounds. The shot seen in the pic was the finisher as I found her suffering from only one lung and a broken front shoulder and no ability to move away.
The bullet pic is a sight to behold, I’m liking these PCd cast HPs, now I have to go try some of Sixshots 305gr. .452’s from my new to me Forkin.

I like that revolver. The bullet certainly performed. And what's not to like about 500L?

Excellent, what mold was he using and your load if you don’t mind. 15 to 16.5gr. HS6, gave me the velocity i was looking for so I went with accuracy after that. trapr

That looks to be about spot on for max expansion and bullet integrity at least in this case. You appear to have it dialed in for both performance and accuracy.

Need to find out what that bullet is for us?

I thought it might be that one but it seemed a little light, but I guess the mix could account for that mine drop at 500 grains.
