For those not familiar, where exactly does one measure to get the sight height? ***** Perfectly good question. To measure sight height:* Ruger sight----bottom of sight body top of sight slide. * RW 2Dogs sight----bottom to top of sight blade. David Bradshaw

I find it useful to have a common frame of reference. I suspect at least one of these sights is in my future.

Thank you for the responses gentlemen. So I measured three GP100 rear sights, all 357s with barrels 2.5", 4" and 5" .All three measured 0.350 .

I ordered 2 more on Oct.25th, patiently waiting. The first one is on a 41 Blackhawk, next one is for a Maxi, per Lee Martin's post, undecided on the 3rd one. Great improvement with my vision problems!

Got the sight in and what a great rear sight blade it is. Gotta get one for my Lipsey flat-top now!

RW # 10 rear sight with a Dawson 0.100 front. I'm needing a little more light around the front sight these days. This combination is working pretty well so far.

I just installed a #3 with a .140" u-notch on my 3.5" SS .32. It's the lowest one, and with Fermin's front bead ramp it's truly the cat's A#S for these old eyes. Ronnie made it for me with the wider notch to mirror the old Bomar sight picture. I found the .120" width to not give me enough light on either side of the front sight. Shot the little gun yesterday and the new rear blade cut my group size considerably. Two more are in the mail for my 4 5/8" guns.
Thanks a bunch Ronnie!

I am going to add that to my line on these short bead U sights cuz ole John M is right. It lets a smidge more light in on these shorter barrels for the eyes that have past the half century mark. R

Got the two additional .140" blades the other day. They are installed (it gets easier after you've done a few) and we are going to get up to the bench to do some zero testing just as soon as we get caught up with our mowing. The .140" notch looks just perfect on a 4 5/8" barreled gun.

Well ole Fermin knocked it out of the park on these sights. I took it outside with the sun mostly down and overcast skies. I can see these sights just fine. The gun is a tack driver and being able to see your sights with an accurate gun is priceless. This gun will only see hot loads with heavy bullets which is the reason for the tall front sight. I have other 44 magnums to shoot 240 grains. The sights are awesome
