Have I posted pics of my medium frame OM .45 AR that David did? Yours will shoot .45ACP too, right? Following this closely…. Greg, please post that gun. I don't remember it if you posted it before. Yes, my gun readily shoots 45 ACP or Auto Rim...

Nice…… I bought mine already built…. Apparently nobody but me wanted it so it was a good purchase.

If you taper crimp the 45 Cowboy brass, I don't see why it won't work in this gun too. Then it should space on the case mouth like the acp.

Cool. Clements was a master. Interestingly enough, the 45 Cowboy will work in both cylinders!!!

I'll admit to lying like a dog in this thread. Declared it likely my last 45 Auto Rim Revolver Build.
But, had to do one on the FA83. It's hard to find a stronger base gun...

Most of my 45 experience has been with the acp in race guns. I'm just now revisiting the 45 Colt, which I haven't bothered with much in 30 years.
I'm interested in the auto rim. I've thought often about a triple lock, but just never went that route.
Suppose it's time to chuck an extra acp cylinder in the lathe for the beater 45. I've already fitted one for the acp/cowboy. Then there's the Rowland to get around to...

Fun but never really grabbed my attention.

Clements and I discussed the 460 Rowland several times. But, in a revolver, we couldn't see an advantage. The only difference in a Rowland is the case is just enough longer to segregate ammo.
I did consider chambering a cylinder in 460 Rowland then recessing chambers for the Auto Rim. That way it'd shoot both. But, decided the Super could do the exact same thing...

I've got molds for 235gr-345gr bullets. Looking like my favorites for hunting are turning out to be the MP 640 hollow points and the NEI 315swc. Both have a great reputation and good accuracy in my guns.
I have a 452490 mold in the 230gr version bought from a member on here. I wanted it for the cowboy brass loads. Given it's designed specifically for the AR, I want to get one to try it in. Isn't that enough reason to justify another gun?
