I received this recently in trade. It was made by Aaron Little in TX. He has also made some in .44 mag and .45 Colt. I think all together, it's around 6 double rifles that he has made on pistol cartridges. I had this at a big annual shooting event this weekend. That group of guys has owned and shot almost everything available from antique Gatling guns to the latest whiz poppers. I got this little double out (it's tiny with 16" barrels on a 28 gauge frame) and set a bunch of ammo on the bench and watched jaded old gun guys laugh and laugh as they shot it. At 50 yards, the steel plates hanging on chains would almost do a complete loop to loop around the target stands. I just got a real kick out of watching everyone have a good time with it. The target photo shown here is of 2 pairs at 50 yards with factory 325 XTP's. Most of what we shot was 380-400 grain cast loads.

I'm curious to run it over a chronograph. Even with short 16" barrels, it's a supercharged 480 Ruger...well into 475 Linebaugh territory and maybe 475 Max power. It's longer than any Max revolver and has no cylinder gap.

I will probably take the railed section out and replace it with a dovetail blank. I would prefer it to have an express rear sight but the aperture is ok. I also want to add a thin recoil pad, not for recoil reduction but to keep it from slipping on your shoulder. It does catch the eye as I saw a bunch of gun guys walk past my Holland rifles and Alex Henry rifles and go WOAH...what is that?!? It's also interesting that the ejectors have real authority and pitch those empties about 10 feet! You can take out the guys behind you waiting to shoot it.

any idea how he regulates the barrels on his doubles??? I had one of the Russian Remington side by side doubles in 45-70 those used a jack screw about half way down between the barrels to make adjustments as needed.. hated selling it 2 years ago... but did... would still really like a lever gun in 480 Ruger

If somebody, like Henry put that out for a reasonable price, I'd BITE.

Personally, I'd prefer a pistol grip style stock (Ruger No.1 style) style, but that's just me.
That said, WOW, just WOW! That is some seriously nice stuff! Do I need one? Not really. Do I want one? Better believe it!

I definitely would have spec’d it differently but it’s a cool gun.

I'd like one in .500 Linebaugh w a long throat for max length cartridges. +1 on the pistol grip.
