I am down to just two Nimrod style guns. The 5 shot 45 by Ben and this older 475 by John Linebaugh. Luckily the man with no neck sent me his light weight 327/32-20 gun a few years ago so Bushy's Nimrodito 327 fill not be a temptation!

I sent that gun out to John along with one of the Qualite brass bisley grip frames for John to fitbthe grip frame then send over Dustin for the grips. John called me and told me he did not like the frame I sent fit so he swapped it for one of his brass bisley grip frames. He also said Dustin was not able to get to the grips anytime soon so he said that if I trusted him, he would make the grips even though he had not done any grips in quite awhile. Talk about a no brainer! “No. John Linebaugh, I don’t want you to make my grip panels for the 475 you built and fit a brass bisley grip frame to” I may be a broken down old poop pumper but even I could see thus was a special opportunity John was giving me.

He does do his own now rather than try get worked into Dustin’s schedule. This was just his first set once he started doing them again.

I'm in the minority here, but eyes have never taken to barrel bands. I prefer straight contours cut to 6.0" instead. That said, my first .500 Linebaugh was quasi-Nimrod: -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"
