I never cease to be amazed at Brian Pearce's efforts to provide useful information.
With magazines full of nonsense and advertisements, it's refreshing to have at least one bimonthly publication that hits home.
Handloader #337 contains 10 pages of some of the most useful information I've seen to date.
This time it's 45 Colt 23k psi data and information. There's some out there, but nothing like this.
Best of all, Brian recommends this data for Uberti Revolvers built after 1990. I've argued this for years. But, some are resilient to learning.
Even more interesting is he specifically says not to use it in Pietta Revolvers. Good enough for me...
Lots of data with old classics like Unique and 2400. But, just as much with modern favorites as Power Pistol, Longshot and Silhouette.
If you don't have a copy, get one. Then, use the subscription card...

KNOWING BRIAN SINCE HE GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL I CAN ATTEST TO HOW HARD HE WORKS!

KNOWING BRIAN SINCE HE GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL I CAN ATTEST TO HOW HARD HE WORKS! I doubt many people understand how much work went into those 10 pages. It's like having Ken Waters reincarnated with a revolver in his hand. Even more important, I hope he realizes how much we appreciate it...

I really need Handloader Magazine to let us buy single issues online. -Stan There are ZERO bad issues. The Brian Pearce Articles alone are worth the cost of a subscription. This particular article is one of the best revolver articles I've ever read. The information is pertinent and debunks much misinformation. Especially useful for fans of the 38-40 and 44-40 too if you use the Dave Scovill Loading Technique...

I agree there are zero bad issues, but as a low volume / conservative / non-curious reloader, I stopped my subscription as the magazine was not always useful. Now, when there is a Brian Pearce article on 45 Colt, that perks my ears up. I'll probably end up paying out the nose for a single issue copy on Amazon but I would rather do that. -Stan

I'm the polar opposite and Ultra Curious on anything handloader oriented.
Chuckhammer started a interesting thread in the handloading section on the different levels of 45 Colt.
I foolishly strayed into the subject of metallurgy and it wasn't well received. Brian Pearce eluded to the same in this article, but didn't go into the subject. That's something I completely understand.
It's a fascinating study, but just doesn't interest most people.

I reread the article with coffee this morning. Brian mentions that different level loads, up to Redhawk Levels, will be in future Pet Loads Articles.
While they don't intrigue me like the 45 ACP Pressure Loads do, will still be interesting.
These Loads interests me because I have Ruger Midframes, Uberti and S&W 25s so chambered.
