I'll take good pic tomorrow. Grips look funny in this one. 460 Rowland finally done except for front sight. Haven't decided on it yet. Clark cylinder, Belt Mountain base pin, Powers free spin pawl, Ronnie Wells "dealer" grip frame, SBH hammer, Bowen sight, Wolf spring and action clean up. Best feeling grip and frame I have felt on a Ruger. Better pic. Better pics coming.

Great looking thumbuster! What is the material in the grip frame? Also who made the grip as they look custom to the gripframe? Thank you!

This is an aluminum Ronnie Wells Dealer frame. The grips are supplied by Ronnie as well. He leaves enough wood to do final fitting (in real life this looks much better than the picture). I had them Cerokoted. I went with aluminum instead brass in order to keep the weight down. I will get some good pics later. I can tell you, at least in my hand the feel is perfection. He nailed the design which was based on an accident. Here is a pic showing them about 95% fit. He also leaves enough metal so that you can perfectly fit them to the gun frame.

One more note-I put a very mild palm swell on the right side to help me index the gun in my hand. It is subtle but it works perfectly. When you get the grip material it is thick enough to do what you need to do to fit your hand. Over all I removed between .125" and .200" over the entire surface of the grips. That doesn't sound like much but it allows for making a perfect fit.

Fermin 361-960-3697 And THANKS for the excellent Dealer evaluation! I figured I'd give you a buzz in a few days after I figure out the height. I am going to see how much difference there is between the heavy .45 Colt loads and the .460 Rowland loads. Once I know what I am dealing with I know you will know what I need. I'll send you my number in a minute.

I don't think those grips look funny at all from my view. The package is great. A dual cyl gun in 45 Colt and 460 Rowland. Fab-Tastic!

We are going to stick this on a 500 Linebaugh and a .454 to see how it manages the extra recoil. Should be very interesting.

Slightly better view. I took some high resolution pics this weekend. I will try to upload them shortly. This thing shoots. Under an inch at 25 yards from a rest.

I shot it off the bench at a lasered 30 yards. With my bad eyes 6 shot 1" groups. I can't ask for any better. Holding up on getting my sight from Fermin till I have some of the original planned bullets in my hands to determine sight height. Sierra still can't give me a date. On another note I was able to land several hundred Speer 230gr Gold Dot bonded bullets. Not the short barrel version but the one for the high velocity loads. If they work correctly I may switch things and order the sight height based on them. The .460 was done instead of souping up a 45 ACP load for safety reasons. This is to keep 30,000PSI loads out a a 45 ACP thus avoiding an accident. Now I am thinking about loading all my Rowland stuff to this level to keep one of the 40,000 loads for the G21 out of this gun. I can still load them for the G21 if headed to bear country and that will be with a WFN bullet so visual inspection of the loads will still keep things safe.
