quote author=" 2 Dogs" source="/post/486792/thread" timestamp="1697992870"] There’s quite a bit to see here. I chose to post in the gallery because this thread will be picture heavy. Apologies, Ronnie asked me to move it to this thread. The top picture I think is the first ever OM 7 1/2” Single Six Bisley. At least I think it is… The second pic illustrates several full sized hammers with the Bisley and SBH spurs. Notice both the mid frame, Flattop, and full size frame Blackhawks are displayed. [/quote] The third picture shows the Single Six OM Bisley hammers. The top one is the Bisley OM adjustable sight hammer, the second Bisley hammer displays the SBH style spur and also fills in and completes its hammer well which is otherwise vacant. This is an elegant touch by your mad scientist Ronnie Wells. And last but not least is the standard style hammer for the standard models but with the Bisley Spur. The Single Six hammer for the Bisley frame requires a different spur location than the XR3 type gripframe. I know for a fact Ronnie tweaked its location a number of times to get it just right. I’m personally in love with it. There’s a lot to see here so I’m just going to leave this here and let you guys ask your questions. The last several pictures are of hammers in various stages of process. Note that these hammers are relieved ever so slightly so that they can be blued or CCH and you don’t have to worry about them getting scratched up. This has been an exhausting process. Ronnie has many 14 hour days at this. But even today, Sunday, when every other normal person is getting ready for football games and BBQs Ronnie is at work.

Oh, and you guys can thank Professor for his technical assistance! I was logged in as 2Dogs for five minutes. I could have solved all the worlds problems, but I logged out. I was glad to help post your images. My very small contribution to your epic project.

Thanks for posting, Fermin. These parts look fabulous! It's obvious they represent a whole lot of expertise, hard work, blood, sweat and tears. Thanks Ronnie, for all your long hours!

I need to call your attention to the OM Bisley triggers as well. Notice how they are a smidge straighter and more swept back. Very very slick…I have been quietly running a prototype trigger for some months and I can’t find any faults.

Ill Tell You Guys, I feel like i just gave Birth. Man this has been a Journey but we are right there. As Fermin pointed out these are all cleared out .005 to .006 on the upright as to save the finish that will be available. This one here has been snapped and fired all year. Even at the shootist Holiday in New Mexico myself and several others Including Gentlemen Like Tank Hoover, Steve Otrum of Brownells, David Fink with Finks custon as well as Dusty Hooley of TGW, Shane Jahn and a whole slew of others enjoyed the power and manageablity of the 44 Ronnie Stupid Caliber and the Potato Judge Junior Grip Frame. But The Hammer and trigger is what intrigued them so much. As you will Notice , NO SCRATHES On the blueing.

Here is the clearanceing i was talking about. The Bearing surface is .290 but the upright is between .276 and .280 You can see the gap between the back of the Main frame and the Hammer.

The Single six was the Booger Bear because i have tried no less than a hundred spur placements. It is so critical to be able to have one spur placement for mass production but darn near impossible because of the variations. If its to high, it looks gauty. If its to low, it will hit the bisley backstrap while cocking. We found the sweet spot. Next was getting the back of the Hammer to follow the back of the frame so it didnt look like it was a bunch of welded together crap. It also had to have enough fat back to fill the voids in all of the bisley style backstraps, Keith 5s etc. etc. Standard Bisley S6 Tall for the drift rear site. Standard Bisley Spur tall for conventional Non Fat Back Plow handle grip frames. By the way this is a customers Flatgate. Pretty sexy huh?

My next issue with the s6 OM was the hammer was shy of the top of the very elegant cure at the rear of the frame. I wanted a produceable hammer that went all the way to the top and blended nicely with the top of the frame. That is why i call this version. A TALL. Notice the full fill as well on the grip frame.
