Shooting one-handed and having short & fat fingers I use use the side of my thumb just above the joint to pull back the hammer. When shooting two handed I use the other hand and use the pad of my thumb. I will take whichever gives the most purchase or grip. If the course appears to be that way, let's go with that.
I am neutral on the trigger design. I dis-like the current Ruger Bisley trigger, it bites me. I very much prefer the wider & grooved SBH trigger. I usually use the pad of my finger on the trigger.

Even Grabing it in the curvy sweep of the bisley hammer, Ive had it slip off a couple of times in all my dryfiring with the finer serations. So far i have not had that happen with the courser serations. Before i finallized i just wanted to throw that out there and make sure i wasnt alone in this. Thanks guys. Course it is and shall be. R Just a thought here Ronnie and not meaning to give you more work but could the hammer spur be lowered even a bit further to allow for smaller handed folks to cock with the web? You have a couple of excellent options as it is but, like your grip frames, no single frame is perfect for every shooter and a lower, but still Bisley styled hammer might be the ticket for lots of people.

I have a Clement’s bisley hammer, which may be a smidge lower than Ronnie’s. If it were much lower, it would bite into the back of my hand, and I don’t have particularly meaty hands. Not a bad idea, though.

Still waiting, but haven't gotten to that project yet. Old Model 357 to 41sp. SBH hammer, wide trigger, reshaped Biznana idea I'm messing with if it works out to improve the looks.

I just got an email from RW Gripframes to pay the balance for my hammer, so maybe we're close.

He has been battling for the last year and the Lord called him home about 8 Am. So we are dealing with that. However i am very excited and we are making tons more as we speak. I will be in and out this week but we will keep them flowing. R PS: More Pictures shortly!

Thanks guys. He was my Buddy man. I think im going to miss him the worst when its reloading time. He would come up and hang out and we would talk politics and just general family nonsense and just have a blast makin ammo. We have gone thru stages in our last 30 some odd years. Hunting , fishing, Racing. I had a stake in a Sea doo dealers ship in the 90s and we terrorized the ocean man. Gosh we had so much fun testing those silly things out. he was a very quiet old soul until you gave him a Hotrod and then lookout. Good Times man, Goooooood Times. He would come to the Races when we were in town Racing the nitro cars and bring all his train club freinds. He was so proud of us. the last time we Ran in houston before we retired he couldnt come so i had him on the phone the whole time. The last couple of months has been the worst. Seeing him deteriate so fast just broke my heart. My wife was his youngest daughter. She was the baby so he was very pleased to have someone that he could relate to take his daughter away. He asked me to promise to take good care of her and i agreed and have been doing it for 34 years now. So i know he was just waiting to see me and her just one more time. We did and he left. Its killin me but im just being selfish i guess. Im glad hes not suffering now. God i loved him so much. My buddy. Im really going to miss him. Now im the old Bull so i have some new responsibilitys and i will accept them with pride he so generously handed me. What a great Dad He was. And the best freind ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ronnie, I pray for peace for you and your family as you travel ghis new road of life without your dad. Yes I know you said your wife’s dad but it sounds like the type of relationship my father had with my wife when he was alive. He accepted her and lived her like his own and she was his daughter and he was her dad. I’m glad you have those wonderful memories to cherish as you move forward.
