Now ofcourse not everyone is going to want abisley so how about just drop a cool hammer in your Box Stock ROA. XR3 RED And straight trigger gentlemen. Bisley spur first. Shoot. I have another fixed sight Blue revolver with the old style SBH dragoon frame. It’s just begging for the blued Bisley hammer! And you say these will take case hardening?😎

In case y’all haven’t figured it out yet, Ronnie is a force of nature! It’s apparent that once he decides to do something, watch out!

Ok Fellers Here is another of what is one of my biggest problems and causes of set back in my life. The Baaaalllluuucccch Factor. Sometimes some things just look uglier than Mashed Butt to me. That goes for some of these triggers and for those that know me, as Hanibal lector told Clarice starling in silence of the lambs, NO CLARICE, THAT JUST WONT DO. HAHAHA. I never was a fan of the old model trigger but it is what we had. 3 years and countless thousands of dollars ranging well in to the 6 figures for me and gobs of patience on yalls end just says to me, Lets get this right!!!!!!!!!!!! SO. Check this out. The idea David had to put a tang or boss on the back of an old model trigger was absolutely brilliant. Using more readily available grip frames was just a shu in of an idea. Here is the Base for using a standard xr3 or RED or Super Blackhawk grip frame on an old model and ofcourse that includes the Old Army which i am growing very fond of. Clements conversion trigger for New model grip frame with spring tang on the left And an Old model Pusher plunger spring style on the right. However here is how it looks on an OM with a Super Blackhawk dragoon trigger guard. And an XR3 RED But Here is my biggest problem with it. Other side Just to much room or gap for my taste. Maybe just fine but for all we have gone thru, Why not try to make it better. Another thing im looking at is the angle of pull. The trigger is straight up and down but when you hold this gun, you are essentially pulling up at an awkward angle. I will demonstrate in the next set of pics.

Here is what i have come up with and i would like yalls opinion please. Old Army but same as old model as well. Cocked And WALAAH, No Gap. Or at least nothing Major. In the next set of pics you will see how my finger rests on the trigger and how it pulls up at the same angle as my finger. Not to mention a lot more room in the trigger guard.

This is what i was refering to . The trigger pull angle . It just feels smoother and more fluid in movement. I feel like i have more contact area and more control. Other side Cocked and ready to Rock. Lead heading down range. The back of the trigger guard becomes a nice trigger stop. To Me it just looks smoother and more flowing. How about it guys. Whata ya think? Should i focus on making the straight style fill in the gaps or should we kill 3 birds with one stone. I am certain i can make one for the Dragoon style that would be as flowing or a little more straightened out. Please Comment as much as possible. Im making the crap out of hammers right now and while the machines are cuttin im Dreaming and massaging Iron. Thanks Fellas R

Ronnie! You hit the nail on the head in my opinion. I have long pondered the pull angle vs swing arc of the trigger in single actions. I would love to try one of those of a few of my Rugers. And it looks great to boot, kind of reminds me of a fine shotgun or rifle trigger. Way to go!

Looking at the pictures more closely I think that style of trigger would lend itself very nicely to a Bisley trigger guard as well. The Bisley trigger has always looked a bit to far forward in the trigger guard to me. Heck a trigger like that for a new model wold be cool to.

I like it set back in the trigger guard like that. Dang it! More money to spend. I need the lottery people to pick the right number for a change.

On October 22 (Page 8 of this thread) Fermin posted pictures of some Bisley-gripped Old Models with the new hammers and triggers. The triggers closely match the curve of the trigger guards and are set back. Hoping this is what the final product will, Ronnie. Super cool!
