The 4 degrees makes a 44 or 45 pleasant with stout loads, where it shines is when your chuckin’ 450-500 grain bricks out of a 500LINEBAUGH. You must feel it to believe it.

What makes the biznana and the BB5 stand out is they bring the little and ring fingers into play. With the sharp recoiling high pressure loads in 454,475, and 500's it's those small fingers that break grip first. The taper at the bottom of the longer grip combined with the grip angle keeps those fingers tight. The muzzle will start to rise before the rearward motion begins. It's only visible when watching the recoil in slow motion. This split second difference starts bleeding off the recoil energy before jamming back into your hands and wrists. Conventional plow handles also rise before rearward motion but the small fingers break grip instead of helping guide and control the rise. Conventional bisley grips like the Ruger version and most custom grip mods begin both actions simultaneously placing the pressure into the wrists.

So do we know a approximate weight savings when going to a aluminum Bisley vs a steel version? 8 ounces!

How much difference in the weight between aluminum and the brass? ***** Basically, 8 ounces separate the brass from aluminum. In my limited experience, the aluminum cushions, abates, diffuses recoil far out of proportion to the weight savings. To put it country simple, the aluminum allows you to handle power with less weight. Mountain bikers call riders who obsess on lighter-weight components “weight weenies.” A neighbor dairyman, one of the finest deer trackers imaginable, was given a knife by the famed and similarly skilled Larry Benoit. Benoit made the knife and gave it to Willard Taft. Handing it to me one afternoon, Taft says, “Larry Benoit made this and gave it to me. I don’t carry it. it’s too heavy.” The Benoit sheath knife didn’t heft heavy in my hand. As a footnote, Taft’s younger son, Justin Taft, took his hunter safety from me. Willard Taft counts his logger son, Justin, a better tracker than himself. To call these men high mileage mountain pounders threatens understatement. Their movements look somewhere between a cat and a ghost, with the endurance of a canine. Where weight makes a difference, the difference between gliding and dragging your butt up a hill, an aluminum RWGF counts big time. I may even succumb to an aluminum handle this fall myself. Grip frame screw observation: screws through a brass grip frame hold tight longer than through a steel grip frame. Aluminum seems to share a pinch of the brass character in holding the screws. Got a box from Ronnie Wells yesterday. One old model biznana, one nm biznana, one regular hammer Hager BB5, and one Bisley hammer Hager BB5. I'll get them fitted asap and posted so everyone can see them on different barrel lengths and all three frame sizes. OM mid 6.5", NM large 4.62", and Maximum 7.5". I don't have a Bisley hammer yet for the fat back BB5. When I get one, I'll get it posted on here too

Can't post pics but here's the link to see the biznana and the Hager BB5 on a 7.5" 357max. The biznana will be fitted to this one and staying. I'll post more frame sizes and barrel lengths modeling them as I get time. imgur.com/a/3GLQoD2

The hammer on there is the original sbh. The BB5 is cut for the fat back Bisley hammer, but I don't have a Bisley hammer yet since I am not at all a fan of Ruger's Bisley version. The biznana will be staying on the maxi. I have both the standard hammer and Bisley hammer version. Once I get a Bisley style hammer I'll try it on it to see which I prefer. The BB5's permanent home will be a 4-5/8" 45 convertible. That will have a Bisley style hammer.

Wow has this idea blossomed...
I was on the website today ( been too long ) but I recently bought an old model custom Ruger that appears to have a pretty chipped up aluminum grip frame, & dried out, ill fitting grips... so I thought I'd look see what Ronnie was offering now days... if I was going to have to send out the original grip frame for grip fitting, then send it out for dura coating, might as well look & see what's available... I've always been intrigued by the MH Skull cracker grip frame, I see the MH Skull Crusher Bisley is offered... & I see there are grips available... hmmmm...... maybe kill 2 birds with one stone... but no pictures...
has anyone got a picture of the Skull Cracker on a Ruger???
if Ronnie checks in regularly curious if sending in a wood block is possible for grips to fit this frame ( I have some nice curly KOA ) or if the random walnut ends up being pretty nice pieces...
Thanks

Hey Ronnie, I did ask over on the Facebook page. Didn't get a response, ......Hammer? Are/ is a NM Super Blackhawk hammer with the bisley hump going to be available with checkering or just serrations? Sorry Steve! For the short version Both ways. Checkered and serrated. I personally like them both. We need to have an option for ordering them they way you prefer and we will get to it, i promise. For the long version. It is Sunday morning here at the shop. I have never been a fan of Face book. However it seems to be the way that the world communicates. I am old school. I like to Talk on a phone because that is what i am used to. I can get more accomplished in a 3 minute of conversation than i can in the twenty minutes it takes to pick out a conversation by key board. The best way for me is to listen to my messages and call everyone back when my mind is clear and i am done for the day. As far as facebook goes, Michael and Matt Peake is handling that one. They ask me a question to give a response and i answer with details. He probably forgot to ask me about that question and i do apologize. I have to keep working on the actual product and let them handle it or i dont get the parts made. Haha. I am working seven days a week to bring four more machines on line to combat the ridiculous price Galging and lead times going on with materials right now. This year has just been stupid ridiculous. To everyone i am sorry for the delays here but i am working my way thru the cutting and machining process to enhance our operation here.............. (Well michael just called and said he is coming up as i type this out to bring me a pile of questions to answer so he can type in responses to everyone on Facebook. Hahahahahaha.............) Brass has just gone up again another $1.16 a frigin pound. Geese louise man! My goal is to use these two smaller yet high speed CNCs with 12,000 rpm spindles and higher feed rates with a new tool type that is just phenomenal. I tested them out last week and this mammy will get it on man! For those that are familiar with machining, I can almost double my feed rates. For those who are not, it means i can cut the part faster and more efficiently. By keeping the materials separate in the machines i can get a little more back for my scrap, also reducing costs. Aluminum is expensive new but it does not recoup well scrap wise because of the intrusion of other materials making it hard to keep the aluminum pure. However steel is magnetic so it is easier to separate for the scrap guys. So getting a little brass in it does not effect the return scrap price much. Trying to clean one of these mills out 100% to change materials is to say the least a REAL BITCH! However one piece of Aluminum in your C360 Brass shavings, and it now becomes aluminum Bronze in there eyes and it drops 60% in scrap value. So i am separating all materials by machine! One for aluminum, one for Brass, one for steel, and one for Stainless. And of course one for back up. I essence i am now in the streamlining phase of this business. We are making leaps and bounds here to bring quality precision parts to the market for all of you and to see about getting some of the costs out of it to make things more affordable. Grip frames in all 4 materials. Alum, Brass, Steel and stainless. For Ruger, FA, Colt, BFR and so on so forth. Cylinders, And yes mike, Brass ejector housings. Hammers, triggers and whatever else we can dream up here. I am done repairing machine tools for the industry. Only My own. The trailer and truck for the Nitro Cars has been sold. The Funny cars are for sale and probably leaving next month. Simpson Racing is virtually done Racing Nitro Cars as well as myself. My focus and goals are to Push RwGripframes to the status of major player and possibly bring my own Single action to bear. With that being said if any of you have questions. PLEASE call the office phone 832-581-3901 and leave a message. I WILL GET BACK TO YOU. For those of you who know me, i am not shy and would love to here from you. Hang in there guys, this is starting to look really good here. R
