Hmm, I just saw the "Dealer" grip frame and now my mind is spinning. Any built up photos of aluminum with black micarta?

One for a fine Gentleman here on this forum named Roy and one for my stainless 360 DW Hunter. I will mash out some Micarta for mine and post some pics just as soon as i get his walnuts made and box his up and out the door for him. Finally got a shipment of good brass and i have been playing catch up this last week. R

Really been thinking more and more about an aluminum frame on a .44 flattop.

I’m thinking my flattop 44 special needs a 4 degree bear skinner with black micarta too. It’s the only single action left that still whacks my knuckle

I highly recommend that grip frame. The next two, that are already on order, will complete my 500’s. It’s amazing the difference a few degrees, and that little radius makes.

Once my Bradshaw Bisley Brass arrives off to Tyler Gun Works it goes along with my 5.5" Blachawk and a bunch of other parts.

That will show the general shape if that helps.

Yes, I think I’ll be buying one anyway but I’d like to see it installed to get a better idea of proportions. Thank you.

Any way you could post a couple pics of the finished product? Considering one for my SBH .480. Pretty sure everyone here would enjoy a look...

If you go back a few pages on here there’s a write up and pics of a octagon 500 Linebaugh with the bearskinner bisley grip frame and walnuts. The second one I did is under brassing up a Classic. I added a stock Brass Ruger Bisley, to a 30 year old John Linebaugh built Big 5, 2 digit serial number. That one was different as once the frame was fitted and the black micarta panels polished, I roughed it all up with scotch brute, used brass black on the frame, ( 3 coats) and rubbed in all the wear places. It looks very nice with the plumb bluing patina.

Hmm, I just saw the "Dealer" grip frame and now my mind is spinning. Any built up photos of aluminum with black micarta? Gentlemen, The dealer is a cool frame no doubt. A good friend of mine is down from fort Bragg visiting family and dropped off his 357 Blackie for a dealer and while it was here i decided to try the XR300 out on him as well. He is a big buff fella with large hands, so we opted for the bisley trigger guard on this unit. Cant wait for him to wrap his samich grabbers around them both. He is going to give us all some feed back on how they shoot for him. By the way the Xr300 is an XR3 RED plus .300 thou added to the bottom. I can actually almost get my pinkie on it. The dealer is .400 longer and swept forward 4 degrees with a straight front and back strap. Here are some pics of them both mounted to my buds Blackhawk! Dealer first with some nice Walnut.

Now the XR300 with some cool panels made out of stabilized spalted Maple. Hope he likes em!

Here is the Dealer next to the factory frame on the .460 Rowland. I started working on it last night. I am going to have a very subtle palm swell on the right side. This will help me index it quickly. Should have the panels contoured and ready to sand tonight. I can tell you that it feels amazing. When this gun has the 45 Colt cylinder in it with the heavy bullets it should be much better. I have average sized hands but extremely muscular. My thumb muscle is like a golf ball. The shape of the grip allows the muscle to set on the back of the frame instead of half way off of the side. This alone is a huge improvement. Matt and I were talking about sticking it on his .454 to see how it handles the recoil with some really snappy loads. I will update as this progresses.
