Let's see some guns with RDW GRIPFRAMES - ↑↑↑That's what I'm sayin ! ↑↑↑ Ronnie was doing the heavy lifting here on suppling the adrenaline pictures ,,,,,,, but he has been busy with other BS and problems. Some of these have got to be getting ready to go . Heck , mid-completion in progress pictures would COOL and inspiring to see also. Watcha got? I've got one at Tyler Gunworks since January or so, and one with Precision Custom Plating and Engraving getting fit and ready to head to Hamilton Bowen... The Tyler Gunworks (oversized Keith #5) will probably be another 3 - 4 months by the time the custom grips are done, and the Bowen one (standard Bisley) is getting an ovate barrel and full action work...so I'm guessing 6 - 8 months min on it once he gets it (which I'm guessing is in another month or two).

Gentlemen
I have been planning a clear out of some of the one off as well as working prototype frames for a bit here now.
I sent a list privately to the guys that had bought brass frames before now first to give them first shot at these which i think was the proper thing to do.
If i missed anyone please let me know! that time has passed so for those of you who might be interested, let us know. We have Done a lot of changing around here as far as bugging out the programming and just the overall machining process so we could streamline our operation thru the course of the last few months. So for you that have helped us create this monster i wanted to offer you a cool deal on some Brass grip frames that were part of the earlier production pieces.
$ 225.00 as opposed to the normal $350.00 for brass.
All of these are geometrically correct as far as the outer shapes, and will fit perfectly. THESE ARE ALL BRASS! Not aluminum.
The only difference between these and the new standard production model is that they may or may not have the R.W.G F logo on them or the description as to what model they are and may or may not look the same on the inner cut as the latest version. Changes were made to the inner to accommodate the logo and description and for the mid pin design. Which in a nutshell means nothing as far as fit and finish!
Some have a more squared contour on the inside as opposed to the newer rounded cut mainly so that i could cut some of the very costly and time consuming corners on the inside.
They are all perfectly functional, will bolt right on as usuall. They are just a little unique compared to the current standard production peices.
Any questions please feel free to inquire Rwgripframes@Gmail.com ( myself or Michael) Hope you see something in there that turns you on fellas.
For those of you who are aluminum guys and have purchased previously, you will receive a list soon of the same type of deal on aluminum!
Once they have had there pick then i will post the remainder to this site.
I certainly hope offering these to those that have purchased frames from me first does not offend anyone on this great sight, But i have a very large investment here and i think it only proper to do so.
Everyone i have talked to so far on this forum has just been great, Gentlemen all! Thank you so much for joining us on this voyage!

Here is something funny to look at just for giggles. I found this in a box of stuff my Late Father had been saving, i guess from the look of the contents which was all stuff that i had made in my youth. Some of it dating back to the late sixtys. This was for a 30 carbine new model i traded a 1974 Xr 75 Honda motorcycle for. It started out as a SBH dragoon that a sheriff in Alvin Texas had traded me for for weight reduction. I took his Dragoon and he took the XR3 RED off my 30 carbine. And being the major OCD, bored snotless and just cant leave it alone punk that i was. Walahh. Metal shop in the Alvin High school in 1979 got a brand new Miller Mig. We called them shortarcs then. I went to work on it and this was the result. haha. However as the paws grew it had to be replaced. Funny to look at. Just glad Dad was proud enough to keep stuff like that. God i cant tell you how much i miss him. Luv ya POP. Thought yall might get a kick out of it. one of my first grip frame redesigns. man o man, Good times,,,,,,, gooooood times.

For those who are asking about the Super Blackhawk dragoon thick back, Heres a description. its Made for larger hands or long fingers! The Red color is a standard super Blackie Dragoon. The black is a thick back. its about an 1/8 of an inch thicker towards the rear at the top and about a 1/16th at the bottom. I made these for myself and a freind of mine who is 6' 11" and has the hands and feet to match. we made a half a dozen then we added a quarter of an inch to the bottom for him on 4 more which he has. So i had 4 of these left. The reason it says with panels is because it will require a larger peice of wood or micarta and if you are interested i will panel them with your wood after i stabilise it or i will make you a set of my new micartas in black! Hope that clears it up . Any questions please pm me, it would be my pleasure to chat with you about it. Ronnie

Ronnie ***** Ronnie.... this grip probably would have saved my middle finger from the cumulative pounding of shooting steel with my old brass grip frame SBH 7-1/2”. And, starting 1979, Ruger’s brand new S410N Silhouette Super 10-1/2”. Looking forward to new developments. Those who disdain the Pachmayr SBH for appearance or for palm-abrasion should soon have a handsome, fat-free brass option.... David Bradshaw

Here is the latest from the customer request line. LOL It is the Brainstorm of a Rat Cat who wanted to mimic the old Reeder Gunfighter look and and have e little extra weight at the back if he wanted a standard Dragoon. The inside has been modified to have more meat for rounding the outer lower without loosing the grip panel platin. All are now an additional mid pin mount as well as standard location! The Black is the Super Rat Cat and the Red is a standard Super Blackhawk Dragger! Hope You like it.

I took a break from the Max frame fitting so I could do the final fit on the OM 38-40 that Ronnie did a 90% fitting for me (he had the aluminum grip frame off this gun to pull dimensions from). With lessons learned, these flat sides are dead flat and seamless as if the two parts had been polished together through the entire boundary. A marble tile laid the foundation for 400/600/800 wet dry paper. I did remedial file work to get the grip ears to the same height as the mainframe and to follow the hammer contour. I'll massage that into a more gentle arc with backed sandpaper once the other frame ear is rough fit. I realize this angle seems a little steep, but that's how Harton fit his as well. We were given the choice of the slope shown or leaving the grip frame ears proud of the base of the hammer. When all the fitting is done I'll polish the grip frame by hand to give it a uniform finish, bearing in mind that it will darken no matter what I do. If I haven't said this before, try to find sacrificial grip frame screws that already show wear or have damage to use during test fitting, because you HAVE TO put at least two screws back in to locate the frame to its final position. That's a lifetime's worth of wear even with the right screwdriver.

The opposite side is much easier since you can line up your finished side by feel and see where you're proud on the side you're working down. This side took less than half the time of the first. Again, it's a seam with no visual gaps and that's barely palpable in select spots- a function of the irregularities in the Ruger frame. The Max frame has more real estate and is less flat than this OM so I expect the final fit will be less perfect.

A grip frame named "Super Rat Cat", guess I am now on the hook to buy at least...three (two OM, one NM)!
Ron, Thanks for the frame design. It will be most perfect for my intended use!

Ronnie, on your list of preproduction model s for sale what is the NM bisley 3rd design? I assume it is standard size and bolts up to a large frame BH and takes normal bisley grips?
Thanks,
Robb

Thanks, Robb You Betcha Robb. The latest version is a mid pin and has all the R.W. GF engraved in it. It is standard and will work fine with an aftermarket Bisley grip. Ronnie
