Slightly louder than a 22 Single Six... probably not much different that a 22 Mag Single Six... as far as noise

Do you have any new chronograph data to share?

I did get my 2 boxes of .223” bullets to try in the thicker new non Velodog cases... hoping to get some more reloading done this week, after the last of the out of town family leaves
Also in the middle of swaging down a couple 100 of the 41 Special cases I’m making into 10mm Rimmed, so I need to get those off the reloading bench

So... I have 4 loads to try in the revolver next time I get a chance to play with the chronograph... hopefully this weekend, though 6-8” of snow is expected Thursday into Friday... so Saturday may be filled with plowing for both my buddy and I...
1st is a factory load from Reed’s Ammo that that I bought over a year ago before everything dried up... these should get me a baseline... these are the Velodog cases, and those are 40 grain bullets... if they are awesome, I could pull one, weight the powder and speculate as to what it is...
2nd is Velodog cases, 4.5 grains of AA #7, with Speer's .224” 33 grain Hornet TNT HP
3rd is the thicker (machined maybe) but less case capacity cases with 3.4 grains of AA #7 and the Speer .224” 33 grain Hornet TNT HP needed to run these back in the sizer to swage the case mouth
4th is the thicker less capacity cases with 3.4 grains of AA #7 and the Sierra 45 grain .223” Hornet SP... the cases liked these .223” bullets, seating and light taper crimp all that was needed to get the cases to chamber
Would really like to find a box of the .233” 40 grain Sierra bullets... thinking those would be just the ticket for the thicker cases

BTW... wet tumbled the pulled Velodog bullets They are actually a thick brass or copper jacketed FMJ, round nose of 43 grains... look way heavier than they needed to be from Velodog revolver at 300-400 fps... ( they were just over 600 fps out of my Single Six ) came out pretty from the wet tumbler... may end up back in CCM loaded cases... as heavy as the jacket is, I doubt they would expand much even at 223 velocities?

thoughts on a grip material for a CCH frame??? I think American Holly would look great on this gun.
