Received the revolver back today... at work, I've not had the chance to go over it with a fine tooth comb... but my 1st impression is it's more beautiful in person, than in the pictures...

anyone interested in the new unfired 32 caliber barrel, it's 6.5" from forcing cone to muzzle, and has just the slightest bright spot across the RE on before & NH on the factory barrel stamping, but not really any scuff marks, from removing the barrel
I don't have a pin guage set here at work, so I'll have to check the throats on the cylinder later this week

looking at the gun a little... John & I had not talked about a free spin on the cylinder, but that is a welcome, unexpected addition, on guns with extra chambers... I did have a single 10 at one time, & as it was from the factory, I didn't like it, chambers too close, often went past, when in a hurry,& had to do a full spin to pick up an empty or load a skipped chamber... 8 holes in this cylinder... not a problem with the free spin... BTW, cylinder looks flawless on the outside now that I have the gun in hand, I can see again, how poorly the factory Ruger grips fit the grip frame... Zane... thinking I need that good rams horn

So... it's back to the work schedule on this one... grip frame comes off this weekend...for grip fitting... I've done a fair amount of reloading for both of my CCM's... not much shooting... been too busy... Some Alaskan Dall Sheep grip scales...

magwheelman, I found the 22 Cooper a very interesting 22 CF. I started down this road with a 22 Kay Chuck and now have the 8 shot Taurus in 218 Bee and 22 Hornet that are recent purchase. The Cooper seems like the answer to the 22 CF revolver question that S&W should have followed instead of the Jet... Your`s is a beauty....

Thanks... it’s funny that it’s just a modern pressure 22 Velodog... I still have an original Velodog revolver and several boxes of the last Fiochi Velodog cartridges... cartridges from Reeds ammo were actually loaded in Fiochi Velodog cases... the steel cases my buddy turned for me on his lathe, are reload able steel Velodog cases... I think this cartridge warrants more interest but the only modern cases currently available are custom made from 22 Hornet cases
I’ve always been about the reload able cartridges, and seem like I like the big and little... though I do have a 357 Max, and 10 mag and 401 power mag so I guess I do play with a few midsized

I can tell you those homely looking slabs are going to come back in a fit and finish you can't imagine at this time.

Moving this up since there is some recent interest...
I’m currently working on making some cases from 22 Hornet cases
