100 rounds .300 Savage on reformed Federal .308 Win. brass (Sav brass is a bit scarce) recently purchased from a forum member. Hornady 150 Interlock SP, 37.5 IMR 4064 plinking loads, to be kind to my antique takedowns, a Savage 99B (mfg 1922), and a 99G (mfg 1923). And also to be kind to my shoulder, as these lightweights with steel butt plates will get your attention with factory-level loads. With these, I can comfortably shoot wearing just t-shirt. And pants.

I've been trying to organize all my handloads and brass. No matter how many MTM ammo boxes I buy, it's NEVER enough!

Finally loaded 34 rounds of 454 Casull. 24 grains of 2400, a small rifle primer and a home cast gas checked powder coated NOE 310 grain slug at BHN 16 (by Lee hardness tester). The more I get my house sorted out from this botched remodel, the more I find the things I need. In this case, I was held up by missing my .452 sizing die.

It was this weekend, but I had a 9.3x57 rifle to run and I don't have dies for it.
I did however have some fired cases and a room full of other dies. Ended up deciding to neck size after confirming that the cases would chamber without issues. Used a 9mm Luger FL die to neck size, then used a 22-250 seating die for the seating operation. Chose the smallbore seating die thinking that the small diameter neck of the die would hold the 9.3mm bullet on center while the die body would give clearance as I nudged the bullet into the case.
Worked.
Still looking for a proper set of 9.3x57 dies. Please let me know if you can spare a set or if you know where to find them.

Will a set of 9.3x62 dies work if they’re “shortened” ? Shoulder angle is the same, but neck length is longer on the 57,.....360”, versus the 62,.....306”. May not work. Trapr

Will a set of 9.3x62 dies work if they’re “shortened” I'm looking at that, as there's a set of 62 dies that are available to me. Shoulder of the 57 should in there at .431-.433 depending on what drawing you're looking at My fired cases agree with that. 62 shoulder is said to be in the .451 neighborhood It might depend on the actual set of dies. Seater shouldn't be a problem.

Seater shouldn't be a problem. I didn’t even look at shoulder diameter. I assumed they were the same. The other common x57 derivatives do not use same shoulder angle. Let me know if your plans don’t work out, I have several European contacts that might be able to find a set of 9.3x57 dies, it just may take a few months to get them in hand. Trapr
