Bagby, those rice/shot loads are a work of art ! Gotta find me some 445. A friend down the road, now passed on had a shot loose Dan Wesson, only 445 I've seen and I'd not ask the family now.

Did a little bit of casting tonight.
Linotype in the Ideal 311-284 mould. The bore rider section of the bullets are coming out a couple thousandths under for my Krag, so it's time to lap the nose of those cavaties. Driving bands are fine.
Segregated the castings from the cavaties and started lapping one of them tonight.
Might cast it again later tonight to measure the progress.

Loaded some 410gr and 430gr. Cast and jacketed .510’s for my little black avatar. When I switch between 410’s and 450’s I need to swap out my front sight, since the gun is a Vaquero style. It’s off to the range tomorrow to verify impact at 50-75yds. Hopefully I get to punch a hole in something later this week.

Today was more time with the Krag.
I cast a few linotype bullets in the Ideal 311-284 mould that I've been lapping. Used those castings as laps to use with Clover fine lapping compound. A little bit at a time, careful is good.
It's a two cavity mould, and I think I'm there with one of the cavaties, close with the other.
I then cast some bullets with wheel weights with added tin and ran them through the .311 lubrisizer die. Loaded those with different powders etc and shot some today, hopefully I'll get to shoot some tomorrow too.
A good day.

I noticed that you changed your post, so I deleted mine. No sense putting out something that someone with poor reading comprehension will get in trouble with.

I once loaded 13.0gn of Unique stupidly in 41 mags, thought the balance beam scale was on 8.0gns. Whoa, the Blackhawk had some extra recoil! Luckily no damage. Pulled the rest.

I have had mucho fun with my old 1892 Springer and an old 95 winchester lever gun as a kid. I still diggem out every once in a while and pound a few down range. Kewlness man. R
