Leadhound, your loads look good, almost look like Speer Gold Dots with a spent primer! Nice job, hope they shoot as good as they look. I loaded some 45 ACP, some 41's & some 44's. Plus I did some casting, 128 gr .357" HP's.

Loaded some 44 Special with Matt’s 250 hp. Used 6 grains of W 231, and a Federal large pistol primer. This is for a Freedom 97.

Leadhound please explain in sixth grade terms what I'm looking at there sir. Swaged (squeezed into a forming die) .400/10mm bullets made from annealed (softened with heat) 9mm brass as a jacket, with a 120gr .357 cast bullet as a lead core.

Have seen good results from others over a wide range of velocities.

I loaded some .44 Special Rice loads and shot loads using old 445 brass. Ran the 445 brass into a .41 Magnum sizing die to make a neck just the right size for the throats in my NM Flattop. The rice loads are 3 Grains of Bullseye followed by a wad made from an old cardboard ammo box then filled to the brim with rice and capped of with another cardboard wad and crimped. The shot load was 5 Grains of Unique, wad, #7 shot (came out to just about 227 Grains of shot) then cap with another wad and crimp. The only thing that I had to fight with was getting a crimp I was happy with. Ended up taking some measurements and found out the shoulder placement on a 300 Savage was just shy of 1.6 inches. Grabbed an old 300 Savage sizing die and it worked like a charm. Here are some pictures. Jonathan.

I haven't loaded anything since last year, but I finally got a reloading bench setup in the new house. Only took me 11 months to get to this point. Thinking about cleaning and prepping some brass tomorrow. Going to start with some 224 Valkyrie and then go on to some 30-06.

...about 300 rounds of .41 Special with a 165 grain "Keith" style bullet with 6.5 grains of Unique...that should last for a while just shooting them in the Taurus Trackers...
Then another 300 .327 Federals with an 85 grain XTP-HPs and 16.0 grains of H110 for a TC Contender 12" Octagon rechambered from .32 H&R Magnum. They run right at 2100 fps...

257 Roberts for a friend that doesn't hunt, he kills. If he likes these I've got 160 more to go. Need more of this powder. Any thoughts?

257 Roberts for a friend ... Need more of this powder. Any thoughts? A friend indeed! The 257 Bob is a very good Bob I just scored an 8lb jug of that powder. Head over here with your can and I'll fill it up for you.
